Meggy ran along the streets at record pace, not stopping for anyone or anything. Tears streamed down her face as she ran. All she could hear were her feet pounding against the concrete. She had left everything behind. Her Splattershot, her friends, her dignity, her promise.
She kept running across streets and made her way back to the building where she was staying. She kept ignoring everything around her as she made it to the final road before approaching the Penthouse building. She completely missed the sound of screeching tires and looked over to see that a car had screamed to a halt in order to not hit her. The person was screaming at her, but she didn't care. All she cared about was reaching that building.
She pulled the door open forcefully and just ran up most stairs without taking the elevator. She actually managed to reach the twentieth floor by taking only the stairs and took an elevator the rest of the way.
She pushed the door to the penthouse open and slammed it shut behind her and ran to her room, locked the door, and that's when she collapsed. She lost all function in her legs and emotions. She became an absolute wreck of tears and curses as she fell to the ground and let every tear, every sob, and every scream escape her. She had failed. She failed Desti. She failed herself. She failed her friends.
No words could make her believe otherwise. All she wanted to do was disappear, and become nonexistent.

Mario: We need to go after her!

Aliya: We have no idea where she went!

Mario: I know exactly where she went!

The others started coming onto the field to check on them and Douglas was burning with rage. He couldn't believe Sprocket would pull off something like that.

Aliya: I know that the squidwards exploding at others counts as being hit, but that was just a complete dick move.

Douglas: Tell me about it.

SMG4: What the hell happened!? Where did Meggy go!?

Trident: More importantly, where is that team Killer Ink?

Douglas: They went to their locker rooms, but there's no way we can follow them.

Trident: Follow me.

Douglas: What could you possibly be doing!? We need to go find Meggy!

Trident: Trust me, I'll find her within a few minutes, but I think there's something we should do first.

He starts walking off towards the arena exit that Sprocket and her team went with a clear intention that he meant harm. Douglas ran after him, wanting to join, but to also help him cool down. He had no idea if they would get caught or not, and would've rather deescalated things rather than fight...unless they struck first.
Minutes later, they approach the door to the locker rooms and Trident stops at the doorway into Killer Ink's side of it. He cracks the door open slightly and listens carefully. It was still quite faint, so Trident started advancing slowly into the room, Douglas following not far behind. They both hid behind a set of lockers as the team spoke with one another.

Xavier: That was a great idea out there, Sprocket! I can't believe you managed to take them out!

Fina: How did they even get back into the games anyways? I thought we got them disqualified.

Sprocket: Megan's smarter than she looks, but if it weren't for Xavier, we probably would've had to go up against them tomorrow, but thank god we don't.

Rigel: How'd she escape prison too!? Isn't that kingdom reform place the highest rated facility in the area?

Sprocket: It's supposed to be, but I don't think she got out alone. There's just no way. I'm not worried about any of that, because the celebratory factor is already in place: Splatsquad is eliminated.
