Then Maul appears again, ambushing half of the clones in the task force. Obi-Wan says that he and Anakin will handle him. Mace asks if he's sure, to which Obi-Wan replies yes. Mace then instructs three of the surviving clone troopers to accompany him and orders the rest to guard their escape route. And so Anakin and Obi-Wan fight Maul while Windu goes to fight Dooku. During the dual duels, Maul cuts off Anakin's hand and the clones fend off some droids that are approaching Dooku's location.

Obi-Wan and Anakin eventually drive Maul to a bridge hanging over the droid factories down below. During the fight with Mace and Dooku more and more enemy reinforcements appear until Mace and his clones are outnumbered and are forced to retreat. Back with Obi-Wan and Anakin, Obi-Wan fights Maul some more until he is kicked off the bridge. But then a shuttle of Geonosian design shows out of nowhere with Maul right on top of it.

"You're lucky I'm needed elsewhere Jedi! We will be seeing each other many times in the near future! This I swear!" Then the ship flies through an opening in the ceiling, the door on the back opens and Maul jumps in. Taking a seat behind Dooku. Obi-Wan then drags Anakin back to the gunship as quickly as he can to catch up to Windu. They make to the gunship and it flies towards an acclamator just overhead. They disembark and Padme runs up to Anakin, hugs him, and asks him what happened to his hand. Obi-Wan replied that it was Darth Maul, and the Sith are still at large. But Yoda walks in tells everyone the good news; won, the battle is. Anakin weakly tells everyone that he can use some bedrest. Padme then volunteers to take him to medbay. Then we cut back to Dooku's ship to do exactly what happened in the movie for the umpteenth time, only Maul is there this time.
