The Unnerving Feeling

Gilinsky's pov:

"Love you." Laura hung up and I kept walking down the street.

He said he would be here...

"Yo Jack over here!" I turned to see a shadow in the alley.

"Yo Nate, I've been looking for you man." We fist pounded and he brought out the weed.

"3.5 grams, pre-wrapped." He handed me the plastic bag. "30 bucks, because you're my friend." He smiled and I handed him the money.

"Thanks man, I haven't smoked this shit in weeks. I miss it." I put the bag in my pocket.

"Since you're in town, wanna go out tomorrow for burgers or something?" I looked up at him,

"Sorry bro, I have the Magcon thing tomorrow then we leave for Toronto." His smile dropped,

"Oh, that's fine. Don't worry, we can meet up another time." 

"Definitely." I nodded and his smile came back. We shook hands then I tried sprinting back to the hotel.

I got to the room and realized that I didn't have a key so I knocked, scared that Laura was already asleer and wouldn't hear me.

*Knock**Knock*

It took her a few minutes but she opened the door. She did not look happy.

"Jack. It's 1:30. Where the hell have you been?" I walked in and took off my shirt.

"I had to go to the drugstore, but none were open." She closed the door and sat on the bed, eyes still half closed.

"I wonder why." She raised her eyebrow and layed back down.

I threw my shirt into my suitcase and crawled on top of her. She put her arms around my neck and I kissed her nose. She scrunched her face and kissed me back then let go. I went into the bathroom and did my stuff. When I got back to bed, Laura was already asleep. I turned off the lights and crawled in with her.

*Boom**Boom*  

My eyes burst open and mumbled sounds came through the wall. "Wake up man." I heard them yell and I yelled back.

"I'm up." Laura was already awake and I looked at the alarm which read 9am.  

"Morning babe." She walked out of the bathroom in my tank top and toothbrush in her mouth.

"Morning." I lept out of bed and grabbed her waist kissing her forehead.  

"Holy crap Jack, morning breath." She started laughing and walked back into the bathroom. I stood there for a minute trying to smell my breath, is it that bad? I walked in after her to see that she was holding my toothbrush out. I took it and brushed my teeth. "That's better." She kissed me on the lips then left the room.  

The mirror showed the bag sticking out of my pocket and I forgot that I slept in my pants. I tucked it back in then went to my suitcase and hid it under my clothes.  

"We have to be ready in less than twenty minnutes, I'm going to Starbucks for breakfast. Want anything?"  

"Um, just a muffin would be great. Thanks lovely." She smiled.  

"No problem. Be right back." I was alone so I went back to my suitcase, took it out and lit it up.

"Fuck I missed this." I sat near the open window so Laura wouldn't smell it when she got back. I sadly had to put it out after a few minutes then got dressed. I was brushing my teeth to get rid of the smell, when I heard the door open.  

"I'm back. Why are you brushing your teeth again?" She stared at me holding her Starbucks.

"I didn't brush well the first time." My stomach went empty afraid that she could still smell it.  

"Well, here's your berry muffin and a shot of espresso because you look exhausted." She handed me the stuff.  

"You can get espresso shots?" I examined the cup.  

"Yeah, I got one too. It doesn't do much but I feel a bit more awake. Hurry up with that brushing, I ran into Bart and the guys on my way up and we have to be down in five." She walked in and fixed her lipstick.  

I turned to face her and tucked some hair behind her ear. I looked into her eyes, and pulled her towards me. "I love you beautiful." She smiled and we kissed."I love the way you make me feel Laura Mendes."

"You're gonna love the way I make you feel tonight Jack Gilinsky." She took my hand and we left. I ate my muffin in the elevator and took the shot as soon as the doors opened.  

"It's about time you two. It's nine fifteen and we have to rehearse everything just before we open the doors in thirty. Everyone here and ready?" All the guys and Laura nodded. We walked into the room and set up the stage and Bart went over the routine with us then gave details to Laura.  

"Laura, you can be on for just the song with Shawn or the whole thing." She looked at me, I nodded at her.  

"The whole thing, I wanna see how it works but I'm kind of nervous." She looked back at Bart.   

"There's nothing to be nervous about. But that's perfect, go and tell Shawn and you two are up after the little 'show' Nash and Cameron have. If you're on for the whole thing, you're gonna gave to wear a mask for Jack and Jack's song."

"What kind of mask?"

"You'll see, all the guys have to." She nodded and walked towards me.  

"You ready?" I asked her as she let out a deep breath.  

"I think so. Why am I so nervous?" She had a worried look on her face.  

"Everyone was the first time. You just need to make it fun, not feel like you're under pressure." I put my hand on her arm and she smiled.  

"You're right, I have to go rehearse with Shawn." She turned to Shawn then spun back around, "Quick question though, what mask do I have to wear?" I laughed,

"It's for our song, it's just a glow in the dark one no worries." She glared at me but smiled,

"Well then, I'll see you later." She kissed me on the cheek and walked towards Shawn who was going through music sheets.  

"Are you ready man?" I turned around to see Johnson.  

"Oh ya, I'm ready." He handed me the music sheets and we went to the stage and rehearsed. The time went by so quickly, and the room filled up in no time. At exactly 10 o'clock Magcon started.
