Glinsky's pov:
"It's a yes for our date tomorrow. Just remember that I warned you." I told Laura as she got into the shower. I continued to dry my hair, and I brushed my teeth.
"It's like that feeling when you're just about to kill it, take your last shot you know you're gonna hit it." I turned around to listen to Laura sing, her voice is perfect. I sat on the counter until I heard the water turn off- shit how long has it been? I hopped off the counter and pretended to wash my face so Laura could get out. A few minutes later, I walked out of the bathroom to see Laura panicking,
"Where's my fucking makeup bag?" She started ripping through things, and her towel was slipping off,
"Laura, it's in Shawn's room, I'll go get it."
"Why is it in Shawn's room?" She looked worried.
"Shawn got it for me so I could use some of your makeup to cover my face up."
"Ahaha, okay." She pulled up her towel, and I got close to her to give her a hug that she was all for because we stood there for a good few minutes before she let go.
"I needed that." She smiled up at me, and walked into the bathroom and started drying her hair.
I threw on some clothes and quickly ran over to Shawn's room to get her makeup bag. Thankfully Aaron was there and let me in.
"Thanks Aaron."
"No problem. Hey Jack," I turned around, "make sure you get Laura. There is no way in hell Shawn would let Laura be with Taylor and I also see the way you two look at each other. She's begging you to win."
"How did you know about-?"
"I heard her talking to Taylor as I was coming back from Pizza Hut with Johnson."
"Aha, okay. Thanks again."
"No problem."
I walked back to my room, finding Laura sitting on the hallway floor,
"You took a while, so I came out to check on you, but the door locked."
"Nice." I handed her the bag then I opened the door letting us in. "You know it's already five-thirty right?" I saw Laura run into the washroom,
"GILINSKY." I ran into the bathroom, where Laura was holding a brush in one hand and a straightener in the other, I know where this is going.
Taylor's pov:
"Six o'clock exactly."
*Knock**Knock*
Laura opened the door, she looked astonishing. Her beautiful straight brown hair, her sparkly green eyes. She was wearing a flirty blue ombre dress, that was flowing at her mid-thigh, with black flats. Holy shit she is gorgeous.
"Evening Laura, your evening awaits." She smiled, and took my hand.
"Be back by nine-thirty." I heard Jack yell from inside the room.
"Ignore him." She whispered to me, and we walked into the elevator and our night began.
"Mr.Caniff, Ms.Mendes." We were greeted by a limo outside the entrance of the lobby,
"After you," I said to Laura as she got into the limo, and I got in after her.
"Where are we going?" She asked,
"You'll see." I put my hand on her thigh, and she didn't seem to mind.
We talked about Magcon that happened earlier today, and how Shawn didn't sing his song without her. He talked about the fans that wanted to see Jack, but we told them that he wasn't feeling well.
"We're here." I looked at Laura, hopefully she liked it.
"Did you set this up all yourself in two hours? How-"
"Don't ask, don't tell." I saw a smile on her face.
"Evening awaits you Laura." Bart helped her out of the limo.
"Thank you Bart." and she kissed his cheek.
I ran around to the other side of the limo to walk Laura up the stairs and into the elevator and up to the top of the tower to see the beautiful view of Dallas. I saw the excitement in her eyes, but sadly I had to cover them so she wouldn't see the surprise of flowers and our little dining table with silver cutlery and a bunch of shimmering lights waiting at the very top.
"3, 2, 1- Voila!" I uncovered her eyes, and her face was priceless.
"Oh my god Taylor, h- how did you do this? It's beautiful." She walked towards the table, touching the pedals of the bouquet beside it. She looked up at the lights and back forward, taking in the Dallas sunset. I walked toward her and wrapped my arm around her waist as we watched the sun go down.
"The appetizer is ready to be served." Bart was standing beside the table with two waiters behind him holding silver platters, and Laura took a seat.
"Masa toro with caviar." Bart smiled as he opened the tray, and put the little platters in front of us.
"Thank you Bart."
"My pleasure. For the main course, there is an option of steak or salmon?"
"I'll have the steak please."
"Make that two steaks. Thanks Bart." I politely shooed him off, so I could talk with Laura.
Laura and I talked for what seemed like forever, but it was filled with laughter and stories and memories and simple little questions. She told me that she has been on the volleyball team since freshman year, and how her average has been above 80. I told her about her about taking school online, and how before I was 'famous' I was in a school play which was really embarrassing to confess, and the next thing I know is that I'm kneeling next to her saying some weird Shake spear shit when our main course had arrived.
"Thank you." and we ate with complete silence and when we were finished, Bart brought out the Strawberry Arnaud, yet again, eating in complete silence.
"May I get you anything Miss?" Bart had broken the silence,
"Actually, is it too much to ask for a cup of green tea?"
"Not at all."
"Thank you so much Bart."
"My pleasure."
Bart went to go make the tea, and I was just about to ask Laura a question when her phone went off,
"Shit, it's nine o'clock. I have to go Taylor I'm so sorry."
"Oh, it's um- it's fine. Bart, we'll take the tea to go."
"Of course, I'll get the limo ready."
We left in a hurry and got to the hotel in just less than a half hour, and she kissed me goodnight.
"I had an amazing time Taylor, thank you Bart. Goodnight." and she ran inside.
"Bart?"
"Yes Taylor?"
"Was tonight a horrible mistake?"
"Not a mistake, but I think you tried way too hard. Caviar? Were you serious?"
"Ahahaha, I guess I took it a bit too far."
"A bit?"
"Shut up, I was trying to impress her."
"You impressed her alright."
