Laura's pov:

Holy shit did I just do that? I totally just ruined Taylor in front of his friends, it felt so good- but I feel kinda bad, is that a normal feeling? I mean, he deserved it. After all he did to me, ha, that was nothing. I laughed and looked across at the hotel where I saw Taylor walking down the front steps and down the street. I feel like I should go after him, fucking emotions. So I wound up running after Taylor,

"Hey Taylor," I saw him spin around, "I'm really sorry about what happened in the lobby, I was really mad and just had to get it out." He smiled at me and shook his head,

"I deserved all of that, but Laura," he took my hands, "let me take you out tonight. I need to show you who I really am, and not who I am when I'm near Gilinsky. I've been so competitive around him, and haven't shown you the real Taylor Caniff and his heart for you." I felt the butterflies in my stomach.

"Tonight at six." I saw the smile on his face grow bigger, showing off his pearly whites. "I have a really good idea." I said as his smile got smaller, "Tonight you take me out, then tomorrow Jack takes me out, and whoever has the bigger heart for me, gets me."

"Are you fucking kidding me? That is the worst idea I have ever heard in my entire life, but since I like you a lot, it's a deal. What will Jack think?" My face went blank.

"Fuck, um. I guess I'll go tell him now."

"If he doesn't agree, you're with me?" Taylor's eyes widened.

"Yup." He smiled and pulled me in for a kiss, but I turned my face quick enough that he kissed me on the cheek.

"See you at six Laura Mendes." He ran off down the street as I went off to tell Jack my fucked up idea.

What will I wear was the only thing going through my head from outside the hotel to my room. I suddenly froze at my door. "How the fuck am I supposed to tell Jack?" The door swung open,

"Tell me what?" There standing in the doorway was Jack, I assume he just got out of the shower because he had a towel wrapped around his hips and had water drops still on his body, with wet hair. Fuck, I wish I was in there with him.

"Um, hi jacked- I mean Jack." What the fuck did I just say.

"Aha, uh hi?" His smile, I stopped breathing for that moment.

"I have an idea." He opened the door and gestured for me to come inside. We walked into the bathroom, where Gilinsky stood in front of the sink and I put the toilet lid down, and sat on the toilet.

"What's your idea?" Jack asked breaking the silence.

"So, I was in Starbucks when I saw Taylor." Jack looked at me in the mirror. "We talked about how he wanted to take me out tonight and start over-"

"Are you fucking psychotic?" He turned so quickly his towel almost fell off his body, but he didn't even seem to notice.

"Hear me out." I put my hands up towards him, he stopped talking and fixed his towel.

"As I was saying, we want to start over, but I said that if he took me out today, you would take me out tomorrow and whoever had the better date, would win me."

"Win you? You're not a fucking teddy bear Laura. You're a human that deserves the love and respect that I, Jack Gilinsky, can give you. Taylor can't even wash his hands." He started to towel dry his hair,

"I want both of you to have a chance, I'm not seeing who has the bigger wallet, it's to see who has the bigger heart. I somehow love you both, and it's ended up getting me punched in the face and crying in the hallway. Please Jack." He turned to face me, holding a q-tip in his hand.

"You know, this situation reminds me of the movie Holes. Where this guy is in love with this girl but there's this other guy that she likes too, so she decides that whoever has the bigger pig will be hers. So, this guy thinks that she loves him more so he nurtures this pig, but the pigs wind up being the same size and she hesitated and couldn't choose and then guy ends up leaving because he thought she loved him as much as he loved her, and she wound up with the other guy and not being happy." Gilinsky turned around to face the mirror.

"So what you're saying is that you're the guy that loves me and thinks that I love him too, so he nurtures this pig only to find out that I don't love him as much as he originally thought, so he ends up leaving and I spend my life being unhappy with Taylor?" I started to laugh, "That's too funny."

"Just think about it, what will you do if you like us the same?" Sadly, he had a point,

"I hope there's an obvious winner." I looked down at the floor, thinking about the odds of me liking both the same.

"Well, I think you should be worrying about finishing you date in time for your swim date with Matt." He chuckled.

"How could I forget. I'll text him now." I pulled out my phone and searched for Matt's number, here it is.

'Hey Matt it's Laura. How's ten o'clock tonight for our little swim date?'

'Sounds great. I'll pick you up at ten!'

'See you then.'

'See you later Laura.'

"Done. Now I have to shower, so just don't peek okay?"

"I won't."

I went and got my towels for my hair and body with a tank top and shorts to put on while I do my hair and makeup before I go. It's 4:30, let's do this.

"Oh and Laura."

"Yea?" I turned on the shower, testing the water temperature.

"It's a yes for our date tomorrow. Just remember that I warned you."
