In frustration, he sighed. He can't seem to find that black man anywhere. "Wait a minute" he muttered, suddenly remembering something.
Turning around, he ran to somewhere in mind.
----
"Well?" Erza asks, panting as Gajeel takes right detour. "His scent is nearing" Gajeel answers, fastening his pace.
"Neat" Gray shrugs, the trio, including Lily, running to where their fire dragon slayer friend is.
----
"Answering so soon?" the man smiled, Natsu glowering his glaring eyes. "Enough with your nonsense! I will never join you nor have I even ever thought about it" Natsu glared.
The man sighed, standing up from where he was sitting. "Dear salama-". "I said enough with that name!" Natsu shouts. "Oh please, why would you stay at that guild anyway? In my guild, you can get more power" he sighed once more, walking towards the salmon haired mage.
"Don't you wanna protect people you love? You don't want that incident happening again am I right?" the man shook his head. "I'm not buying that crap. I'll get stronger my own way. And if you don't leave my friends alone, I don't think you'll be able to leave unscratched" Natsu leered.
Laughing, the man wiped his tears. "A fighting spirit, how fascinating!" the man slowly stopped laughing. "Then let's see who gets out unscratched" the man suddenly grabbed Natsu neck with one hand.
"You can't even avoid that, how are you gonna be stronger then?" he smirked, Natsu struggling. "Burn" Natsu snarled, grabbing his enemy's hand tightly.
"Tsk" the man clicked his tongue, loosening his grip as Natsu falls down, coughing. "Hmph" the man scoffs, kicking Natsu in the stomach, sending him flying across the cold air. Panting, he stood up, wiping the blood off his mouth.
"I'm fired up!!!"
----
"There!" Gajeel points out west, the gang looking at Natsu and some unknown man fighting to death. "Let's go" Erza states, running towards their friend's direction.
"Hey firebreath!!" Gray shouts, Natsu and the man turning around to see his friends. "Reinforcements? Oh please" the man sighed in frustration.
"And there!" the man punched, Natsu avoiding it in time. "No fun" the man says disappointed. "Oh well, whenever you change your mind, you still have four days left. Also, mr. Salamander, please call me master Nine in the future" Nine evilly laughed as he completely disappeared.
"Tch, he escaped" Gajeel clicked his tongue in disappointment. "Natsu! Are you alright??" Erza asks, running towards her friend. "I'm fine" he answers, Erza sighing a breath of relief.
"What the hell was that?" Gray asks, raising an eyebrow. "He was just... standing there.." Natsu muttered, feet frozen in place. "What's wrong?" Erza asks.
"He was just... standing there..." Natsu repeated, his tone arising with anger. "He was just... standing there..." he covered his bitter face with his clenched hands.
"Natsu what's wrong? Who was standing?" Erza asks, concerned. "He was there... When Lisanna was killed, yet he was just.. standing there... doing nothing..." Natsu choked, silencing his mouth.
"Nine that bastard...!" Gray snarled, teeth gritting in anger. "We'll get him next time. For now, rest" Erza exclaims, Natsu turning around and running away.
