Chapter 18

AVANI POV:
*1 Week Later*
Anthony stayed at my place for the past week but he had to go back to Sway, so I didn't know what to do. I made my bed and cleaned my room which was the only thing that was messy. I picked up the blind folds and hand cuffs and put them in my underwear drawer. Anthony specifically choose that drawer for our toys. I got kind of horny when I grabbed the hand cuffs. They reminded me of the past week. Everyday we had sex at least twice.

Right when I was getting hornier my dad called me. I got turned off immediately and answered the phone.
"Hey dad!"
"Hey sweetie, we have some big news.We want to buy a house in California and want you to move in with us."
"I thought you guys said you weren't going to move because Shanti wasn't going to come with you."
"Well yes that's what we said initially but we talked to her and she said she ready to be more independent and is okay if we leave."
"Wait so we're all gonna live together agin?"
"Yes if we find a house." He said. We kept talking for a while about everything we would do once we were all together agin.

I took it upon myself to help find them a house. Which proved extremely difficult so I let the realtor do her job. I prepared some stuff for me and Anthonys six month anniversary which was tomorrow. Once I was done I got bored quickly being home alone. Anthony, Amelie, and Madi were all busy and Dixie, Charli, and Addison were all in their home towns.

I decided to go to the hype house because Jack and James were there.
"Besties!" I yelled when I saw them.
"Besti!" They both yelled back. We talked for a while before making TikToks. When Jack left to get cookies James said, "Avani let me teach you how to salsa."
"Omg Yess, but since when can you salsa?" I asked.
"I took some classes last week." He said proudly.
"I have a spicy white boy besti." I teased.
"Shut up." He joked. He started recording and held his hand out.
I kept messing up and stepping on his shoes so I whined, "I can't do this."
"It's okay just do what I say." He said. He put his hands on my waist and whispered the steps and the rhythm to me.
"See their you go you're going great Vani." He applauded me. He spun me around and tipped me over putting his face close to mine.

"Avani Thomas needs you!" Jack yelled from across the room. James got startled and almost dropped me, "Sorry."
"It's okay." I said laughing. I walked over to Jack and he gave me a weird look. He followed behind me until we got to Thomas's room.
"Okay just listen, Thomas never called you but I knew I had to get you away from James." He said. I was about to say some but he held up his hand and gave me a serious look.

"Okay James has had a crush on you ever since you two meet. He would never do anything to break you and Anthony up but I saw how close his face was to yours and I had to do something so that you two wouldn't accidentally kiss." He explained.
"Jack he can't like me he's like a brother to me." I said in disbelief. I started processing everything and before he could say anything I asked angrily, "Jack why didn't you say anything before?"
"I didn't think anything would ever happen between you two and nothing has happened."
"Well it's not gonna be the same anymore. I love James but not like that and I can't be this close of friends with him anymore knowing how he feelings I could never to that to Anthony." I said balling my eyes out. Jack held me as I cried.

"I'm sorry Avani." He said. I didn't say anything I just cried thinking about how my bond with James was never going to be the same.
"I should have noticed it." I said thinking about how he was always subtly flirty around me and how he looked at me while we were dancing.
"No vani it's not your fault I didn't even notice until he told me." He said. I stopped crying as much and pulled away from Jack. I was more angry then sad at that point. I walked to James even though Jack tried stopping me.

"You can't do this to me. You're one of my best friends and you know I love Anthony and would choose him over anyone. It's not fair..." I didn't even know what to say I was just talking out of anger and sadness. James looked broken and looked like he was at a lose for words, "A-avani I can't stop liking you but I won't flirt or do anything Anthony wouldn't approve of but please I can't loose you your one of me closest friends."
"James no that wouldn't be right." I said.
"Avani I'm sorry but I lo-."
"Dont finish that sentence!" Jack demanded. James walked away and I feel into Jacks arms.
