The execution ended. I didn't know what I expected to see when I looked at Oscar, but I realised that he wasn't smiling like he said he would, he was crying.
"W-Why am I so upset..?" I heard him mutter "H-He killed my brother... I h-hate him..." To my surprise, Pearl was the first to approach him. "Listen 'ere matey!" She said, putting a hand on the boys shoulder "Humans are stupid things. We say we hate somethin' then do that thing, we set up impossible standards, and we act like we hate our pals, when really we couldn't live without em'. And that's what you're experiencing, matey. You've had a tough one matey. The two most important people in ya life up and die, you deserve a break! So, how bout we go grab somethin' sweet from the cafe? Just you and me. What ya think matey?" Oscar simply nodded in response.
I was rather impressed by how well Pearl was with this. I saw her lead Oscar out of the room and to the elevator and the others soon followed.
The game has well and truly begun
And we were all forced to play it
