We had all voted and we stood off of our podiums. Everyone looked at Zara.
"S-She... She attacked first!" She yelled. Jamie sighed "Quit the yelling and explain to us." Zara was fiddling with he hair, but replied "Alright..."
- Flashback, Zara's POV -
I wasn't brave enough for this. I had decided to meet with Maria to try and make peace with her. But... I could never look her straight in the eye. Literally. I had gotten Toby for the motive and the paper said he hated Maria. I understood why. I heard their row in the morning.
Once at the storage room, I saw her standing their. I went up to her "um, Hey Maria!" I said smiling awkwardly. She didn't reply.
Times like this you wish squips were real...
"Look, I know about that row you and Toby had this morning so I'd like to apologise on his behalf." I muttered. It came out rather quickly, but Maria looked as if she had heard. She held out a hand. I shook it.
When we were heading out, Maria tripped over a wooden block and fell onto the floor. Her mask came off and rolled towards the edge of the room. I went and helped Maria up.
Only to realise that I recognised her
Jeremy had told me about the person who killed his father
He drew me a sketch
It looked almost identical
The hair in his sketch was messier, but that made sense seeing as it has been a few years. I could tell Maria knew I recognised her. It was obvious. My hands were shaking and so were hers. We stood complete still.
I then saw Maria's hand move towards the box...
She grabbed an axe
- End Of Flashback-
"In the end, there was a struggle which ended with her as the victim." Zara explained. "The rest played out as Willow said..."
Olivia sighed "You shouldn't have met with Maria. Meeting at night is a death wish." She was looking at Zara, but speaking to all of us. There was silence, then Zara looked at Mono-Lisa
"I'm ready. I'm ready for the execution."
There was silence, then I heard Mono-Lisa giggling "Alright! Its punishment time!"
