Chapter 5 - Part 9 - Trial

Willow Gates:

 "W-What?!"

 Lewis Duke:

 "I know it's a bit of an odd suggestion.. But it's a common thing in my current town."

Jamie Haucet:

 "You're Russian?"

 Lewis Duke:

 "No... Actually I'm Canadian but recently moved to a run down little town here in England."

Pearl Gusar:

 "Aren't ya a knight?"

 Lewis Duke:

 "J-Just let me get to the point! Anyway... People would play it differently there. They'd have the betting money between them, and they each choose a gun. One gun would be fully loaded, whilst the other had no bullets in at all. Then, instead of putting the guns to their own head, they put them to the person they're facing's head. Then, they fire. Whoever is left alive wins the money and, from what I've heard, the dead body is burned."

Willow Gates:

 "And this was legal?!"

Jeremy Osborn:

 "You know a lot about this... Is there any reason for that?"

Lewis Duke:

 "...My brother participated in one. I don't want to go into detail just yet... But he lost."

Pearl Gusar:

 "Hm... So you think that's what happened?"

 Lewis Duke:

 "I-I'm positive!"

 Jeremy Osborn:

 "H-Hang on guys, Lewis knows how these kind of Russian Roulettes works. Perhaps... He's the culprit?"

 Lewis Duke:

 "H-Huh?!"

Jeremy Osborn:

 "It may have been accidental, I understand if it was, but you'll be better off confessing."

Lewis Duke:

 "It's not me kid! I mean, why would I willingly do that when my brother died from it?!"

 Jamie Haucet:

 "Hey Jeremy, you knew Amy best, would she do something like this?"

 Jeremy Osborn:

 "Most likely... Yes."

 Jamie Haucet:

 "Well then wouldn't she want to choose you out of everyone?"

Jeremy Osborn:

 "Yeah... But she didn't. Late at night I went for a stroll and found the doors locked. I heard somebody panicking and breathing heavily. I tried going in, but as I said it was locked shut."

 Pearl Gusar:

 "What time?"

 Jeremy Osborn:

 "I don't know... Maybe around midnight?"

 Pearl Gusar:

 "Right... I wouldn't 'ave seen ya."

She said it quietly, so I don't think anyone heard her. I could bring up the double suicide... But I felt like going with the Russian Roulette theory could lead to something

Willow Gates:

 "Well... If we're going with the Russian Roulette theory, why do you think the culprit took the extra steps of tying the body up?"

Jeremy Osborn:

 "Maybe they wanted to make it seem like it wasn't a Russian Roulette? I mean.. Amy wouldn't be able to participate if she was tied up."

Pearl Gusar:

"Oi Jamie, there's somethin' I wanna ask ya."

Jamie Haucet:

 "...go on."

 Pearl Gusar:

 "Where'd ya get the rope when ya tied up Amy? I mean, I never found nothin' like that."

 Jamie seemed hesitant, then he sighed

Jamie Haucet:

 "What do I have to lose?

It was left in my room with a note attached. The note said only a few words: A Gift From The Traitor."
