I was unable to sleep last night. Nightmares of the murderous hell we were all trapped in corrupted my brain. When I went to the cafe in the morning, I could tell everyone felt the same. But I started to believe that Oscar hasn't slept a wink. Pearl was sitting next to him, she seemed to be trying her best to comfort him. I sat with them. "Hey matey, how bout you me and my matey Willow spend the day lookin' round the place! I mean, we came here for a school trip so we may well have one!" I heard her say, an arm around Oscar. But Oscar simply gave a small nod and continued with his food.
Pearl sighed and turned to me "I'm gettin' really worried bout him, matey. I mean, his best friend and his brother... I'm worried he'll do something..." I wasn't sure wether Pearl was suggesting what I thought she was suggesting, but I was worried either way.
"Students!!!"
An announcement played through the speaker. "I would like to present the new motive! Please make your way to the main hall!"
I heard a collection of sighs, then one by one everyone, including me, headed to the main hall. When we were there, Mono-Lisa was waiting for us all with a glass ball. Nancy was the first to point it out "Oh? Is the doll a fortune teller as well?" She gasped. "No no no!" Mono-Lisa muttered "This is simply your new motive! It will allow you to see the one person you wish to see most in life, however the cost for this is a murder!"
It seemed like an unusual motive, but then I saw Oscar pick up to ball "Can... Can I see dead people?" He asked, his voice shaky. Mono-Lisa nodded "If the one person you wish to see is dead, then certainly!"
There was a silence. Oscar stared at the ball, memorized despite it not showing anything. But then, the unexpected happened.
The glass was knocked out of his hand and smashed onto the floor. And to add to the shock, the person who had done it was...
"Whoops... Looks like the glass cut my hand. Suppose that can't be helped!" She giggled. Everyone else was shocked "A-Amy?!" Lewis yelled "W-Why would you do that?!" But Amy simply smiled "Because silly, this motive is useless. So, I decided to save you all the effort and smash it."
"Wouldn't that be breaking rules?!" I shouted at her, although my eyes were directed to Mono-Lisa. The doll seemed to think for a moment "Hmm... That does break a rule... However you're quite an interesting asset to this game... So I'll let it slide!"
...an interesting asset to the game?
Amy was smiling, and I looked at her with an unknown hatred. She's alive because she's a troublemaker, a source of trouble...
An obstacle
