I felt Pearl cling to me. I held her tight, covered her eyes, and watched the dreaded execution.

Oscar stood at the bottom of a long stairway of rocks. At the top, he saw a crystal ball. He then attempted climbing the stairs. Whilst he climbed, sharp objects like daggers and axes flew his way. He missed some and got hit by some, and once he was on the last step his body was a bloody mess. He then saw the ball. He picked it up. He stared at it longingly, but the only thing that appeared was a reflection of a giant rock above him. Oscar was crushed.
