I sat there, staring at my brother and his hot best friend, Chase Elliott downing the bottle of Jack Daniel's. Let me go back to the begining:

"Ry, don't make me go." I pleaded.

"Oh come on, it'll be fun. Chase hasn't see you in over a year." He says. That was the thing. I had a huge crush on my brothers best friend, Chase Elliott. I have since they started racing together. Each year he gets hotter and hotter. And don't get me started on that Georgia accent. I had even made a fake account on social media, just to follow him.

"Do I really have a choice?" I asked him.

"Nope." He says, popping the p.

"Ryannnn please don't make me go." I begged.

"You never get out of your shell." He rolls his eyes. It wasn't that I was shy, I was when it came to him. I couldn't even put words together when I was around him.

"Please Bailey?" He begs.

"Alright. Fine. I'll go." I threw my hands up.

"Great. Now go get dressed." I went into the spare bedroom Ryan was gonna turn into mine. I started having a mini panic attack, knowing damn well Elliott would be there. Elliott was a shy kid the last time I saw him. So was I. I dressed in a simple button up flannel with ripped jeans. That's usually what I wore when I was younger. I walked back out into the living room to fing Ryan sitting there on his phone.

"Here. I got you converse." He says.

"Nope. You're making me go out of the house on a Friday night-"

"Oh I know. You were always happy to be at home on a Friday night." He rolls his eyes.

"As I was saying before you interrupted me, I'm wearing what I'm comfortable with." I said, walking towards the door and putting on my boots.

"You're just like Clyde. He loves his boots." My heart fluttered at hearing his name.

"Some people have good taste in shoes." I shrugged calmly, but secretly squealing on the inside.

"Ready to go weirdo?" He asks, I realized I had been smiling like a complete goofball.

"Yeah." I chuckled, following him into his truck as he drove to the party.

Ryan and I walked inside, and he immediately began mingling with other people. Something I've never been to good at. I found my way into the kitchen, and quickly opened a bottle of Jack Daniels, pouring myself a shot.

"If I'm gonna be here all night, I'm gonna need this." I mumbled, taking the shot and setting down the glass. I heard someone chuckling, and turned to look to my right. It was Chase.

"Goin out still isn't your thing, huh Bailers?" He smiles. I blushed slightly at his nickname for me.

"Nope. Ryan dragged my ass out here."

"Now why would he do that?" He chuckles.

"Because Ryan Blaney is an ass." I said, pouring another shot.

"You're his sister. Doesn't that make you an ass too?" He smirks.

"Nope. Just him." I said, taking the shot and setting the glass down. I forgot how much alcohol burns going down. Chase just laughed.

"So what have you been up to this past year?" He asks, crossing his arms.

"Oh ya know, trying to figure out what I'm gonna do now that I graduated." I shrugged.
