Hi!! So, this one is going to be sad, but (emphasis on but) there will be a happy ending. Ryan Blaney and Bailey were in love, but she ends up with Chase at the end. Might turn this into an actual story chapter or something, just let me know if you want me to do that! I got the idea from the music video.

"Come on, Bailers. You know he's comin back, right?" Jonah was getting on my nerves. Seven years ago, two weeks ago to be exact, my boyfriend...well....I guess ex boyfriend now, went to pursue his racing career. His mom still kept in contact on my birthday and every holiday.

"Jonah, I'm over it. It was seven years ago."

"But Ryan keeps his promises! You of all people should know this!"

"Yeah. I know." I rolled my eyes, not even wanting to talk about it anymore. I wiped my hands and looked over at the waiting area of the small mechanics shop Jonah's grandpa owned that I now worked in. I worked at the diner, but couldn't work there anymore because there were too many memories of Ryan. That's were we went on our first date, first kiss, everything.

"Why don't you ever want to talk about him?" Jonah asks.

"Because Jonah, he's never coming back!" I snapped, and everyone looked at me. "Sorry." It was a small town, and everyone knew everyone. Everyone tried to give me sympathy, they finally caught on when I ignored it. I didn't want to talk about him.

"Look, you just haven't been yourself since he left." Jonah says softly.

"I'm sorry." I said quickly, and handing the keys to the town mayor. "Here ya go Keith." I smiled.

"Thank you Bailey." He smiles back.

"Hey Bail, you and Jonah got it from here?" Jordan asks, peeking his head out of the break room.

"Yeah. Go and don't get too hammered, Jordan." I said, waving him off. Jonah threw me a hand towel, and I began wiping off the oil and dirt.

"Actually, I think I'm gonna take off too." Jonah says, looking at me.

"Yeah. Go ahead." I shrugged, taking a deep breath.

Lately I've been picking up more hours at the shop. Today was a Friday night, and there was a local baseball game, Ryan's favorite team. It felt like all of the people of East Tennessee came by to see the game. I was wearing my usual ripped jeans, boots, and a black shirt that had some dust on it, but I had just gotten off of work.

"Hi, Bailey!" The local baker smiles.

"Hey Jeff!"

"I got a fresh batch of donuts for ya, want me to set aside a dozen for you tomorrow morning?" He asks.

"You know it!" I smiled, "70% off of car repairs!" I chuckled, and kept walking. I stuffed my hands in the front pockets and walked along the chain link fence. The sun was about to set, but there was a nice breeze. For once, I felt calm. I had pretty much been the town outcast ever since Ryan left. Everyone kept their distance, but they didn't make it awkward to talk to me.

I sat down up at the top of the bleachers, watching the game begin. About half way through I got hungry and walked down, accidently walking in between a couple.
