as i start my drive to new york i stopped at a gas station and got a full tank, some redbull, food, and got cash out of the atm for a hotel room. i decided to check my phone. griffin being the only one who had texted.

time skip
i pulled up to the address he gave me. it wasn't an apartment. it was more like a small house a family of 3 could live in. a mom, dad, and their child. when did he buy this? i saw him pull up. i got out of the car and went over to him. i jumped and wrapped my body around his. "im sorry"i said into his neck. he just nodded his head and carried me inside. he set me on the couch and went to i think the kitchen.
he came back with alcohol and snacks. he tossed me the remote to the tv and said "i dont care how much you want to be alone right now. i wont allow it." i just nodded my head and turned on netflix. he hopped on the couch next to me as i put on finding nemo. i grabbed a solo cup and poured it full of watermelon smirnoff. i chugged it down and got another cup.. and another, another, more and more until my lips were numb. "jaylen?" griffin asked. "yes" i slurred. "jaden just asked me when im coming back with mcdonald's i told them i was getting like and hour ago. and i refuse to leave you here by yourself. so either you get in the car and jump in the back where he cant see you then we can come back here or they starve"he explained. "yeah uh whatever i the first one was"i said. he picked me up bridal style and kissed my forehead.
we got in the car and headed back to sway. i was laying down in the backseat. the windows were tinted so he couldn't see me. and just to take extra caution i was gonna get in the floor behind griffin's seat.
we pulled up to the house and griffin said " he texted me and said he was gonna come out to the car and grab it so i dont have to go in." oh god. i heard his window roll down. "thanks man. have you heard from jaylen?" jaden asked. "no"griffin bluntly said. "oh well could you stop by her house on your way to wherever it is your going?" i could feel his smile. acting as if nothing happened. "sure"griffin said. "alright see ya bud"he patted the top of the car. we pulled off and griffin said "you can hop up front if you want now"
i got up front and looked out the window. "was i not good enough griff?"i said. "jaylen you are more than enough. he didn't deserve you at all"he said and put his hand on my thigh.
back home
i went back to the couch and resumed finding nemo. i got another cup of alcohol and chugged it down. "hey?"i said. "whats up?"griffin said. "what if me and you moved here together?" i said hiccuping and slurring. "wait what?" he asked. "separate rooms. its private and secluded here. we would be living it"i said. "go ahead. pick your room"he said. i jumped up with excitement and headed to the rooms. i picked the one with a walk-in closet and attached bathroom. "THIS ONE!" i said pointing. "but like paint the walls grey and get furniture"i said. "okay"he said.
NEXT DAY
"i need to go get my clothes from e"i said. i was currently watching netflix with griffin. "ok lets go"he said. "while were out we can get everything for your room" he added. i nodded my head and went to the car. i connected my phone to it and played my car vibes playlist. i deleted all of jadens songs off it last night.
we pulled uo to the house and jadens car was here. "do you want to go in?" griffin looked at me unsure of what i was thinking. i was gonna have to face him, just not now. "if you would?"i said. he nodded and got out. i locked all the doors, not wanting to speak to jaden.
minutes went by, shouting was heard, and finally jaden was seen walking out of the house. grayson, ethan, and griffin with my clothes and stuff behind him. i popped the truck so they could put them in there. jaden just looked at me. eyes full of hurt and grief. i gave in and opened my door.
"why?" was all i said. he looked and me, collapsed to his knees and started his apology and the other boys went in for the rest of my stuff. "jaylen, as bad as i want this to be a kiss and we make up thing, i know its not gonna be. i just put you through a world of hurt, i didnt know it would effect you this bad and i wasnt thinking when i hooked up with her the first time. she kept coming around and and she would get ontop of me and lure me into it. and i tried so hard to make it stop but she just kept coming. baby please. dont do this." he finished. i looked at him. tears streaming down his eyes. he looked like he would faint any second. "jaden i- i dont know. i told you i loved you and not even 5 hours later you're fucking another girl. i think i need to regain my trust with you. i think we need to go our separate way until i figure this all out and process it"i said. his head collapsed into my lap and he grabbed my hand. he was mumbling how much hes sorry into my leg. "alright we gotta go"griffin said gettung in the car. jaden looked up at me. i pecked his lips one last time and ethan picked him up. i closed my door and let one tear fall. not another. just one
single tear.
