Chapter 2

I'm eating dinner with her. Damn! Best night ever!

I got to talk with her, dine with her, look at her while she's also looking at me. Oh damn, what have I done in my past life to be happy this way?

My alibi is good though I doubted myself about my house was under construction. Really, Declan? I have lots of houses and even condos but I don't care about it as long as there's Aleah Mallory Marasigan living in that house, I will gladly join her in that house.

While she's silently eating, I'm just looking at her with a smile on my face.

I didn't sleep. I lied that I'm tired. I was looking at her while cooking, being mesmerized by her beauty.

But there's a strike of pain when I looked at her eyes earlier. There are pain and sorrow. She misses her parents.

I'm here, Lea. I will try my best to sustain your happiness and contentment that you can only claim with your parents.

I know she'd been alone since her parents died. She doesn't have lots of friends. It's just her and her parents.

She's having a hard time adjusting without her parents' presence.

My Aleah, how hard it is to see you suffering because of pain and sadness.

"I'm done. You can put the plate on the sink. I will just wash it later." She spoke then gracefully stand.

She looked at me. "Eat well." She smiled but it doesn't reach her eyes.

She turns her back and here I saw how sexy she is.

Damn you, Declan. This is not the right time. Your Aleah is innocent.

I eat the food she cooked and wash the dishes. I don't want her to be tired fully. I can do some chores. I learned doing this for her 'cause being her husband is one of my biggest dreams.

When I finished cleaning, I placed myself in the living area and called Adriel. Asking him to send the papers that Aleah was looking for her.

Her father indeed sold this land to me. I rejected it because I know how precious this house to him and her family but he badly needs money for her wife. His business is also at risk at that time. He has no time to look upon his business because he's busy taking care of his wife and he doesn't want to bother his lovely daughter because Aleah was studying for her last term in her last year. She graduated last month.

I was on her graduation, proudly looking at her from afar. Her eyes were not okay at that time. She's crying up until now.

I am always there, on every occasion and I don't have plans to missed any of it.

I heard footsteps from behind and I saw Aleah with her shirt and pajamas.

How cute, I thought.

She took steps towards the kitchen. I saw her body stilled when he saw nothing to clean.

She turn his head back and saw me.

"Y-you washed the dishes?" She asked.

I stood up and put my hands in my pocket. "Yeah." I answered.

She looks shocked. "Y-you can wash and clean?" Amazement is visible in her voice.

"Why? Is that surprising?" I shrugged.

"Yes." She answered immediately.

I chuckled. "Well, it's me." I shrugged once again. "Anyways, you're going to sleep?" I asked while walking towards her.

Her face went emotionless which made me confused. "I don't know. Maybe I can sleep but not peacefully." She silently utter. "I'm s-still not used to sleep without my p-parents' presence and hug." She stuttered.

"Want me to sleep with you?" I saw her stilled. Deep inside of me, I'm also shocked by what I said but who cares I want her to sleep peacefully and at least ease the pain she feels.

"Y-you'll do that?"

"Yes."

"And as if I'm gonna let you do that." She rolled her eyes which made her even sexier.

"Well, let's see." I smirked before leaving her. I hate to leave her behind but I have a plan and I'm sorry my love, I will make sure that I'll catch you and you'll be dwelling here in my arms.

When I entered the room, I immediately called Adriel to help me.

Damn, he's the only one whom I can trust with my plan. I'm just hoping he won't laugh at me.

"Fvck? Are you even serious, Declan? Siraulo ka ba? Pulis ako, hindi multo. Ginagawa mo na akong baliw, Declan. Grabe na 'yung kahihiyan na dinala mo sa buhay ko." He's confused and irritated at the same time.

"Sorry, Bud. I really need your help. This may be childish but it's effective." I sounded so sure.

I heard his curses. Damn.

"Ba't ba kita kaibigan? Shit." I heard him getting ready.

"You're getting ready, Bud?" I asked with a small smile on my face.

"Yes. Do I have a choice, you piece of shit?"

I chuckled 'cause I heard his curses and annoyance in his voice.

"I'll end this. Mag hahanap pa 'ko ng pwede kong gamitin para matakot 'yang babae mo." He informed me.

I let out a short laugh. "Okay. Thanks, Bud." I said then he ended the call.

I put the phone on the table then get out of the room. I expected that she's no longer here. Maybe she's trying to sleep.

I received a text message from Adriel.

From: Adriel

I'm on the way.

I sighed before coming back to the room and wait for his signal.

He'll definitely message me if I should go out.

I have nothing to do here 'cause I left my paper works in the office. I didn't even have clothes to wear.

I should have said to Adriel to bring me some clothes but I disturbed him big time so I will just ask my driver for it.

I was about to lay down when someone messaged me.

From: Adriel

Lumabas ka na. Buwiset ka. Bayaran mo 'ko nang malaki.

I laughed because of his message. I will pay for him or else I might be a human being without a trusted friend.

After that, I immediately get out of the room and walked like I don't know anything.

I'm crazy, yes, because of you.
