Chapter 14

Declan Costellano

It's been a week already. Aleah decided to let Nanay Mabel and Tatay Dani live in her house. Of course, I have no say to that. That's her decision.

But there's still a disappointment because I won't be able to hold her anytime and anywhere in this house.

But nonetheless, I'm still happy 'cause Nay Mabel and Tay Dani are here. May makakasama na din si Aleah kapag wala ako.

But just for the mean time. Mas mag kakaroon ako ng oras kapag wala na ako sa association.

I already called the upper line about my decision. They said they will be waiting for my signature.

It means I have to be there when I cut ties with the association.

I should be out of it before Mom and Dad arrive.

They told me they'll go home in 3 days.

I haven't told it Aleah yet.

"Declan?" I looked at the door and saw my admired woman walking towards me.

"Hey." I smiled. I tap my lap to make her sit on it. She immediately obliged.

She's getting used to me being possessive and showy. Hindi na siya naiilang.

I hugged her waist while her arms are on my neck. "What is it?"

"I just feel bad." Aniya saka binaon ang mukha sa aking leeg.

I immediately check up on her. "Are you okay? What happened?"

"No. It's about you. You're not able to decide. It's always me so I feel bad that I'm kinda being selfish here." She said in a low tone.

"Oh, baby. No, you're not. It's okay. Besides, I'm also happy with your decisions so no harm done, okay?" Aniko habang sapo ang kaniyang mukha.

Tumango siya. "But don't hesitate to oppose me and tell me if I'm doing it wrong. I just don't want to hurt anyone by that mistake. And if I'm being inconsiderate, please tell me."

I nodded and kissed her on the lips. "Yes, I'll do it but now, you're doing great, baby. No need to worry and feel bad." And I smiled at her, hoping it could make her feel better.

"I love you." I whispered.

Tinignan niya ako sa mata. "Malapit na 'ko, Declan. Sobrang lapit na."

I know what she means.

"I'll be here waiting. Don't rush. Hindi naman ako aalis." I said and I know she gets it.

"Don't leave, okay? Don't leave me." She sounded begging.

Pinisil ko ng bahagya ang ilong niya.
"I won't."

"Promise?" Paninigurado pa niya.

I let out a short laugh. "Promise."

Tumango tango siya saka ako niyakap sa leeg.

I kissed her cheeks and tightened my hug on her waist.

"Declan? Aleah?" Napatingin kami sa pintuan nang marinig ang boses ni Nay Mabel.

Akmang aalis si Aleah sa kandungan ko nang higpitan ko ang yakap ko sa beywang niya kaya napatingin siya sa akin.

Ngumiti lang ako kaya wala na siyang nagawa.

"Mukhang busy kayo. Oh siya, ituloy niyo na 'yan pero bumaba na rin kayo dahil luto na ang agahan." Sabi ni Nay Mabel saka tumalima ng tingjn sa akin.

"Wala kaming ginagawa, Nay. Nilalambing ko lang po si Aleah." Paliwanag ko.

Inirapan lang ako ni Nanay Mabel saka umalis. Parehas kaming natawa ni Aleah dahil sa pag susungit at pag dadamot ni Nay Mabel.

"Maybe we should go down stairs. Baka kasi pag nag tagal tayo, isipin nilang may ginawa talaga tayo." She said with a little but visible tone of shyness.

I chuckled. "Then let's do it. kung mag iisip man sila, at last ginawa talaga natin." Loko kong sabi.

Hinapas naman niya ang dibdib ko. "Declan! Baliw ka talaga."

I laughed. "Why? Ano ba'ng akala mo na gagawin natin? Ano ba sa tingin mo ang iisipin nila Nanay? Malay mo ihuhug lang kita." I hugged her. "Tapos ikikiss kita." Then kissed her.

"Oh, 'yun lang naman ah?" I said as if I'm innocent.

"Ewan ko sa'yo. Tara na nga." Aniya saka ako hinila patayo.

I hugged her from the back as we walk downstairs.

When we reached the dining area, nobody was there.

"Nasaan na sila?" Tanong ni Aleah.

Inalis ko ang yakap ko kay Aleah at tinignan ang bawat sulok ng bahay.

My jaw clenched when I realized what is happening.

"Declan? Nasaan sila?" Nag aalalang tanong sa akin ni Aleah.

I kissed her forehead and cupped her face. "Dito ka lang. May pupuntahan lang ako saglit. Wag kang aalis, Aleah. You lock the gate, the door. You make sure no one's gonna enter this house. I have men outside, don't worry." I said and kissed her on the lips.

"Saan ka pupunta?" I can see sadness and worry in her eyes.

I smiled. "I'll come back safe. No wound. I love you, baby." I'm a bit shock when she pulled me and kissed me on the lips.

"I'm scared." Bulong niya.

I nodded. "I know so do what I say. Dito ka lang. Lock the doors. You trust me, right?"

She immediately nods at me. I kissed her and turn my back when she uttered the words I've been longing to hear.

"I love you. I'm sorry if I just said this now. I love you, Declan, so please come back to me, okay?" I can see tears flowing on her face.

I can feel my heart race. I feel like I can't breathe. Her voice... The way she say it... It's making me love her even more.

Tumakbo ako papaunta sa kaniya saka sinakop ang labi niya. I didn't let go for a second. I felt her responding.

"I'll come back. With Nanay Mabel and Tatay Dani." I whispered. "I love you."

She nodded as tears keep on flowing.

Agad ko siyang binitawan at tumakbo palabas ng bahay.

"Boss, ang dami nila." One of my men said he's having a hard time to breath.

"Info," I said.

"They attacked us. They use spades, Boss. That's the reason why you didn't hear anything. Sorry, boss. This is the first we disappointed you." He said then looked down.

"Nah. It's okay. You did your job. Call Adriel and tell him that I'll be going to the mansion." I said. "The superior's there right?"

"Yes, boss." I nodded.

"Prepare." I commanded. When they were out of my sight, my fist clenched.

I closed my eyes and saw Aleah's face.

I promised you a safe life. If I have to end mine, I'll gladly do it in a heartbeat. I love you, Aleah.
