"What's the rule for?" Soomi asked as she paced back and forth.
Hana, Kula, Suri and I sat on the couch and watched her closely.
"Protection?" Kula asked, uninterested.
"Exactly and why exactly do we need protection?" She asked, again... pacing.
"Because... of our past?" I asked, haphazardly, not entirely sure how she'd handle it.
"Mmm. My dear, smart sisters, and yet what were you doing?"
We all looked towards the door. Suri, Hana and Kula all let out a sweet sigh.
"Talking to boys." They all said in unison with eyes filled with lustful dreams.
She was not happy. We thought that we had moved inside the penthouse quick enough to not be spotted by her. But as soon as the door opened, we saw the boys still standing behind her, with shock riddled all onto their faces.
I sat quietly, unsure of what to say. "Mmm.. Soomi I tried to take my box from him.. but he insisted that he carry it. You know how shy I get around boys." I stated.
"Oh good lord, Kin-ji. Please continue the cute girl act, we all love." Kula rolled her eyes at me and then looked back at Soomi.
"Kula's not wrong. Sure we were talking to them but they noticed us because they live across the hall. Kin-Ji literally brought one to our home." Hana said, staring daggers at me.
"Leave her alone, you two. She's not wrong, I would've gotten shy around that kid too. Did you see his fucking muscles? Man could carry a damn house." Suri said as she chuckled to herself.
"Well, I don't care. Don't talk to them anymore. Please guys we can't trust anyone. Not yet anyway." Soomi said, coming to a stop and crossing her arms.
We all nodded and separated to different places within the penthouse.
I had settled under the blankets in my room as I heard a knock at my door. "Come in!" I yelled before pausing my movie. Suri walked in and closed my door behind her before taking a seat on my bed and getting herself comfortable.
"I've got popcorn, and strawberry soju. You can have it in any order that you want." she said with a small smile. I chuckled and grabbed the bottle of soju before sitting up in bed. I unpaused the movie and we sat in silence, drinking and eating popcorn for several minutes until Suri finally broke it.
"So..." she started as she pushed her green locks behind her ear. "Are we going to talk about Soomi's sudden change?"
I quickly paused the movie and looked at her, "Thank god. I was waiting for someone else to bring it up. The woman came out of her room without something covering her hair! She hasn't done that since he died then randomly she has a change of heart? What the hell is up with her?" I said rather quickly, I hadn't even realized my mouth was moving that fast.
