As always I was the last one to enter the kitchen

As always I was the last one to enter the kitchen. Soomi still wasn't up for reentering the world and Suri and Hana still hadn't found jobs. So like the nice sisters that they claim they are, they cooked breakfast for Kula and I.

"I smell.... Cinnamon... Lots of cinnamon.." Kula said as she sat at the island.

"Yep, we have cinnamon rolls, courtesy of our dear Hana, as well as sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches courtesy of Soomi." Suri said as she proudly set two cups in front of Kula and I. One filled with milk, for me, and the other filled with coffee.

"And what did you do Suri?" I asked

"Well, obviously I made the drinks. They're the most important part!" she spoke with such enthusiasm that Kula and I gave her an over-exaggerated response of how proud we were. She willingly soaked in all of the gratitude.

Once finished with breakfast, Kula and I departed from our sisters and walked onto the elevator.

'So... Our first day... excited?" I asked, the awkward silence was killing me, "I didn't even know that you had gotten a job.. I'm proud of you, of us. The two youngest conquering the wor--""

"I may be the fourth child but I'm still older than you." she said sternly, as she stared straight ahead.

"Only by a year." I mumbled.

"A long year." she quipped.

Finally the elevator dinged and we both made our way towards the revolving doors.

"Suri told me that your job is only about a block away from mine, since we don't know anyone... Would you want to take lunch together?" I asked as she tried to close the door on me.

"No Kin-Ji, I don't. Look," she said as she came to a stop on the sidewalk and turned around to face me. "We have never been close, you and I. So let's not try now, okay? You're my baby sister and I love you but we're not compatible. We never have been so let's not pretend." she then turned back around and continued to storm off.

I quickly followed behind her, "That's not true. Sure we may have never been extremely close but you were never this mean towards me until Eomma and Appa died. What did living with Ivy do to you?" she suddenly spun around causing me to come to an abrupt stop. She then pointed her index finger at me.

"Mmm.. Kin-ji don't do that, don't you dare bring Ivy up. You took him for granted, you took all of him for granted and took us down with you. You're the reason we're on the run, you're the reason he raped Soomi!" she yelled, but suddenly she covered her mouth mouth and lowered her eyes, "Kin-Ji I--"

I brushed past her quickly, and suddenly my speed walk turned into a full on run. I didn't know that that was how she felt, and now that I did, I wondered if that was how they all felt.
