It was time for FP1 Isa was sitting in the back of the garage, sweaty palms and her right leg was bouncing, not because she was afraid of how Daniel would perform during practice, but because Daniels family would arrive before FP2. Even though Isa had spoken to Daniels parents countless times, she was still nervous, because what if they didn't like her in real life? And Isa had never spoken or seen Michelle, Daniels sister, who was coming with her son Jason. After FP1 I'm called over by Daniels press officer, 'hey someone is looking for you at the motorhome', Isa nods and thanks her, thinking it is Daniel who went to some interviews. But as she walks to the motorhome a little boy runs over to Isa, hugging her legs. Isa is a bit taken back by the gesture, 'Jace, come on let go of auntie Isa, she needs to come greet us too', the little boy runs back to his mother, Isa smiles she recognizes Joe and grace and assumes the other women is Daniels sister. Isa walks over to the group and she is welcomed by hugs and kisses on the cheeks. Isa feels loved and her hard warms, how could she ever be nervous to meet the Ricciardo family. 'It is so nice to finally meet all of you, and you little man, why don't you come with me and I can show you were uncle Danny will be in a few minutes', Isa smiles at Jason and carries him to the drivers room where she knows Daniel will go after the interviews. Grace and Michelle smile at each other, and both think the same, she is a keeper.

When Daniel walks into his drivers room not much later he is surprised when he hears laughter coming out of his room. It was a sight which caused an instant smile on Daniels face. Michael was in there talking to Matt and his dad while Isa was walking around the small room to get Jason to fall asleep while she kept laughing at something his sister said. Daniel leaned against the wall to take in the sight of his girlfriend interact with his family, and the sight of Isa with his small nephew caused butterflies to erupt in his stomach, I guess you could call this baby fever. 'Babe you're here,' Isa said smiling but stayed in her sport so his family could greet him first. It was now Isa's turn to smile at Daniel interacting with his family, she couldn't help but feel a little jealous of the family but soon shook the thought away as Daniel approached her. He gave Isa a firm kiss on the lips and then gave Jace a small kiss on his head. His family stood back as they watched the two lovebirds interact with the child who had just woken up from his nap. Isa looked at the time on her phone, 'I would really love to stay but I need to find a quit space to finish my deadline so I have all the time In the world for all of you the entire weekend', Isa said grabbing her stuff, before Isa could leave the room Joe spoke up, ' Nonsense dear, we are going to watch FP2 from the garage so you can sit here and we will see you later, yes?' Isa smiled 'Thanks, be careful babe, I love you' She gave Daniel a last kiss before the family walked out of the motorhome and Isa could get some work done. Isa smiled thinking about the love the family had for one another, it made Isa fantasize about having a family with Daniel. Even though they had only been dating for about 7 months they both felt like they were in a relationship for years. Isa saw a picture of Daniel coming home to Isa laying on the couch with a small baby laying on her stomach. Daniel taking the little baby from her and feeding the baby till before putting it to bed, the thought of Daniel as a father made her stomach flutter. Isa helped herself out of her daydream, they had talked about the idea of kids but both came to the conclusion that it was a bit too early for them, even though they both felt ready for kids , but they were both too shy to admit that to each other. As Isa finished her deadline, she walked to the garage so she could see the last ten minutes of practice. She was greeted by some mechanics and people she had come to know as she put on a pair of headphones. She spotted Daniels family and walked behind them, putting a hand on grace her shoulder. Grace turned around and smiled at Isa, laying her hand Isa's as they watched the last minutes before Daniel would return to the garage himself. Isa knew the paddock would soon be very busy as all the drivers would be walking around and the press would want to catch a glimpse of them, 'Why don't I bring us all back to the hotel so we can freshen up, Daniel has a few media duties he has to go to before he can meet us' the family agreed, Isa told Michael what she was up to and said she would see him tonight at dinner, as Michael would come as well, she gave Michael a kiss on his cheek before joining Michelle on the way to the parking lot. Michelle hooked her arm around Isa's and Isa couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed. As they were all sat in the car whipped a tear away from underneath her sunglasses. Grace, who sat in the passenger's seat, noticed and put her hand on Isa's thigh, ' you alright sweetie?' Isa nodded 'Yeah just a bit overwhelmed by you guys, not in a bad way of course. It's just, my mom died when I was younger and my dad has been in jail since I was eighteen so I haven't had much experience with the love a family could give. I feel very grateful that I have met you guys because you have given me the feeling of what I imagine a family would feel like'. Now grace was tearing up herself, they knew Isa had a troubled childhood but Daniel never told any details. Michelle smiled at Isa through the rear mirror and Joe just put his hand on Isa's shoulder. As everyone found their designated rooms, Isa offered to watch Jason so everyone could relax and take a nap before dinner, later that evening. Isa took Jason down to the pool were they both sat in the little kids pool. Spending time with Jason got Isa thinking about her own dad, and how it was possible that he never once had loved her. Even if Isa had only known Jason and the rest of Daniels family for less than a day, she could really say she loved his family. So how can a man who raised Isa, who had known her all her life, not love you a tiny bit. Isa shook the thought, to put her attention back at Jace. When Jace began to get fuzzy in the water, Isa decided to go to her room. When she got in Daniel was in the shower, he was singing a song but she couldn't make out which one it was. Isa laid Jason in the kids bed that was standing in de corner of the room, she made sure he really was asleep when she walked into the bathroom and stripped herself of her clothes. She opened the shower curtain and stood behind Daniel, arms wrapping around his waist, hands wondering down to his abdomen. Daniel let out a soft moan, 'Babe now is not a good moment, as much as I want to, believe me, we have a kid in the other room and we have to be downstairs in twenty minutes. Isa hummed in response and started washing her hair, Daniel stepping out of the shower and put on some clothes.

Daniel had enjoyed dinner very much, it was nice to have his family over and to see them interact with Michael and Isa was even greater. Isa and Daniel held each other's hands which laid on top of the table, Isa was in conversation with Daniels Dad about her work as an illustrator, Grace was just listening and Michelle was in conversation with Michael about some new diet she wanted to try. Daniel contently looked around the table feeling really happy about his life right now. As dinner comes to an end Isa walks Michelle up to her room to put Jace to sleep and Michael turned in early for tonight. Now Daniel has his parents alone he began to get nervous and his mom and dad could tell 'So son what do you need to tell us' Joe asks, Daniel chuckles at how well his parents know him. 'What do you think of Isa?'. Grace smiles at the question 'I love that girl already, why do you ask? I thought we made it very clear we loved her the minute we met her over facetime.' Daniel lets out a shaky breath 'Well, you know we will be coming to Perth after the season, for Christmas and new year's and I want to ask her to marry me there as well'. Grace gasps, Daniel looks at her for approval but sees her eyes are watering, his dad just pats him on the back. ' Are you asking us for permission to ask Isa to marry you? We love you and her very much son, we would be honored to have her as a new addition to the family' Joe says with a proud smile on his face. 'I bought a ring already and Michelle is keeping it for me so Isa won't find it until we are in Perth I just have no idea how to ask her'. Grace grabs Daniels hand 'Dan I'm sure she will say yes no matter how you ask her, she loves you.' Grace gives Daniel a kiss on his cheek, Daniel standing up to pay the bill they walk to the lobby together where their ways part. Joe and Grace going for a walk along the boulevard and Daniel going upstairs as tomorrow is qualifying. Daniel is glad he told his parents because he needed the reassurance from them that he was doing the right thing. When Daniel walks into the room, Isa is already in bed, her glasses on the bridge of her nose as she is reading a book, she briefly looks up to smile at Daniel before returning to her book. Daniel strips of his clothes climbing beneath the thin sheet and laying his head in Isa's lap. Isa strokes his head as she finishes her chapter. She grabs Daniels face in her hands and gives him a loving kiss. They kiss for a while but are both tired and want to catch a bit of sleep. Isa turns of the lamp on her bedside table as she lays her head on Daniels chest. 'I love you princess' Daniel tells her while stroking her hair, Isa responds by kissing His bare chest.
