Daniel finished Abu Dhabi of with a podium, which gave him a solid 4th place in the drivers' championship. Overall it was a good season for Daniel and now it was time to completely go into relax modus. Isa and Daniel were going to spend the holidays in Perth, with Daniels friends and family. Daniel also wanted to ask Isa the big question while they were there but he had no idea how he would do that. After Abu Dhabi, Daniel took Isa to Sydney, so just the two of them could spend a little time together before all the craziness of the holidays would begin. They were strolling along the boulevard of Bondi Beach, it was crowded, just like it always was. And it felt nice that even in a busy place like this, no one recognized them, or at least no one said anything. They ate at a small café, where Daniel used to go when he was still in karting, the staff immediately knowing who he was and making small talk. It made Isa smile to see him so happy in his home country. After they finished eating, Daniel went to pay for their meal, 'Dan, can I pay for once? You always pay and it makes me feel bad' Isa looks at Daniel with a pout on her face. Daniel looks at her, it was a habit Daniel didn't know he had, 'Yeah of course, if you want to'. Isa stood up, a little victorious and went to the cashier to pay, she gave a generous tip. Daniel hugged the owner before he took Isa's hand and they went to walk back to the hotel they were staying in. It was a nice warm evening and the two of them decided to order desert from the room service so they could eat it on the balcony. Isa took a generous bite of her chocolate cake and let out a small moan, 'I want chocolate cake as my wedding cake, for sure. Or maybe white chocolate, what do you think Dan?' Daniel was a bit taken back by the question, did she know he wanted to propose or did she just really casually want to talk about marriage. 'I haven't really thought about it to be honest. But you want to get married yeah?' Isa nods stealing a bite of Daniels cheesecake, smiling at him. Daniel grabs two glasses and pours them both a glass of prosecco, Isa snuggles closer to Daniel, inhaling his delicious scent.

Two days later the plane touched down in Perth, Isa could tell Daniel was exited. He had energy, a bit too much for her liking. It was early and Isa didn't sleep well, she was hungry but she also didn't feel great. Isa sucked it because she knew Daniel was over the moon to see his family and friends. This also made Isa a bit nervous, she knew Daniels parents were hosting a barbeque, there would be a lot of family but also Daniels childhood friends. Isa wanted to make a good first impression on them as she wanted them to like her. As they collected their suitcases, Isa spotted Daniels parents in the arrival hall. She nudged Daniel and they quickly walked towards them. Daniel hugged his parents, giving his mom a kiss on the cheek, after him they welcomed Isa in their arms. 'Hi, beautiful, you look good' Joe said to her. Isa blushed a bit but she managed to mutter a small thank you. Grace linked her arm with Isa as they walked towards the car. Joe and Daniel walking behind them with the suitcases, 'Your mom was more exited for Isa to come here than you son' Daniel let out a laugh which made Isa turn around to look at the two men. She smiled at them but then looked back in front of her so she wouldn't trip. 'I'm going to propose when we're here' Daniel whispered to his dad, his dad only squeezing his shoulder as an response. Grace and Isa both sat in the back of the car, Grace was telling Isa about all the things she needed to see when she was her. 'Grace, calm down, I will be back before you know it so you have all the time in the world to show me everything' Isa's response made Grace tear up a little, overwhelmed by Isa telling her she really was in this for the long run. Daniel turned around and patted his mother's knee as a reassurance. Isa was slightly confused at what was happening, Daniel giving her a knowing look that he would tell her later. When they arrived at Daniels childhood home, Isa's mouth fell open. The place was so beautiful and she couldn't believe Daniel was so privileged to grow up here. The pair went upstairs to unpack their bags and rest for a little as their journey had been long. Joe and Grace would do some groceries and start preparing for tonight's barbeque. 'Would you guys mind if a took a little nap right now?' Isa asked the three, slightly embarrassed. 'of course not honey, take all the time you need we will wake you up when the first guests arrive' Grace told Isa and sent her upstairs. Daniel walked along side Isa to his old bedroom, a simple room as you would expect from a teenage boy, the only thing that surprised Isa was the large bed in the middle of the room. She didn't complain though as she was sure she could have a wonderful nap in there. 'Are you alright babe? You seem a little of', Daniel was a bit concerned about Isa as she looked like she was getting sick. ' I just didn't sleep well last night and I think I might start my period soon, and I think all the traveling has been messing with my hormones. I will just take a nap so I will be up and running in time for the barbeque. You go out babe, aren't you supposed to meet your friends?' Isa pushed Daniel out of the room, she would set an alarm so she would wake up in time and if anything would happen, Daniels parents were in the backyard. Hesitantly Daniel left Isa alone and hopped in his truck to drive to the beach where he would meet his friends. Daniel was the last one to arrive, he hugged his friends and grabbed a beer from the cooler one of his friends brought. They talked about racing and just things that had been going on in their life when Daniel spoke up 'I know you haven't even met her, but I'm going to propose to Isa'. His friends stood up to hug Daniel, saying how happy they were for him. Even though they hadn't met Isa yet, they heard a lot of story's about her from Daniel and his parents. After a while the group was headed towards Daniels house as they were getting kind of hungry. When Daniel set foot in the back yard he couldn't help but smile, there he saw Isa with his youngest nephew, a five month old baby. She was rocking the baby to sleep while talking to some aunts and uncles. Daniel left his friends to greet Isa. He wrapped her in a hug from behind, gentle enough so she wouldn't drop the baby. He greeted her with a kiss which made his grandmother smile. Daniel greeted his family and sat down next to his grandmother 'that girl of yours is lovely, such a smart and pretty girl, you did good Dan', His grandmother smiled as she patted him on the leg. The night proceeded and the drinks were flowing. Isa was getting kind of tipsy from all the wine combined with the hot weather. As people began to leave, Isa started to clean up the mess, Grace and Joe went to bed and Daniel tried to put out the campfire. Daniel grabbed her from behind hugging her close to his chest which made Isa giggle 'Why don't we go for a late night swim in the pool' Daniel whispered in her ear with a husky voice from all the alcohol he consumed. Isa nodded and went to the pool, taking of her clothes, 'should I keep my underwear on Dan?' Isa asked him seductively. 'No, you should never wear underwear if I was the boss' Daniel stripped himself of his clothes before jumping into the pool. Once Isa was in as well she swam over to Daniel. She wrapped her legs around his waist and put her arms around his neck. They kissed for a while when Daniel pushed is against the side of the pool. Their touches got heavier and because of the alcohol they both didn't seem to mind that they were about to have sex in the pool. In that moment they didn't care that they would get caught if Daniels parents went to the bathroom or the kitchen, they just wanted to love each other.
