You Don't Know That!

Raven ran and ran. She ran so far and for so long that she couldn't even feel the ground beneath her anymore. Raven was running on pure adrenaline. She was too miserable to be flying; but she had always been scary quick on her feet. Probably because she was so small.

Eventually she stopped at the ocean. She saw the Isle. Raven wanted to get away from Carlos, but she also needed to help Ben. She decided to leave Auradon on her own and cross the barrier. She was still too upset to think of a happy enough thought to fly. Raven then stopped and cleared her mind for a moment and concentrated on the plant life in the ocean. She was able to will the seaweed to grow in abundance and twist and form itself into a woven bridge, by channeling the natural power through her fingers. It was not very sturdy, but she could use it to run across the water. As she was very fast-- it should work, she hoped.

Raven ran across the make-shift bridge and as her feet touched it, with each step she could feel it faulter beneath her. If she could keep this pace-- she'd be okay, she thought. She ran and ran; but suddenly her boot caught in a hole in the weaving and she tripped and fell into the water. Luckily Raven could swim-- just not very well. She came up to the surface and tried to grab the bridge, but she was pulled down by the currant. Raven swam back up, and looked to her right and noticed a ship that was docked on the edge of the Isle. Raven saw a rope and climbed it and tried to keep out of sight, as she had no idea who owned the ship or what she would find.

The pixie hoisted herself up the rope and finally was up on the edge of the deck. Raven fell onto the wooden ship floor, and collapsed, exhausted from the running, swimming, and climbing. Raven needed to rest for just a minute and the ship appeared deserted. She found a passageway that looked as though there was a lower deck. Raven climbed the metal steps downward, searching for a place to hide, for just a few minutes. When she reached the bottom of the steps, she saw a young man with a black beanie and blue leather clothing. He was tied up to a wooden pole and sitting on the floor, with a gag in his mouth.

"Urmmm!" Squealed the young man, through the gag.

"Ben?" Cried Raven.

"Rarrn!" He shouted through the gag, trying to tell her something.

"I've got you, Ben. Hang on," Raven declared, as she walked towards him.

Raven nostrils picked up familiar smell; a smell that took her back to an old memory. It was floral but musty. It reminded her of the ice blue flowers that grew in the wild in Neverland. The Rip Van Winkle flower. She suddenly felt an arm around her waist, coming from behind her; and the smell became overwhelming. Raven quickly lost consciousness.

Back in Auradon, Jay took some time and put his friend back together; at least enough to get him off of the dorm room floor, and back to the task at hand.

"No way, I don't buy it." Scoffed Jay, "You never would've done that to her."

"You don't know that!" Exclaimed Carlos,  with his voice still rough from crying, although the tears had finally stopped, "Hell, I don't even know that."

"But, Raven does." Assured Jay.

"No, she made it clear that her faith in my goodness-- is pretty shaken." Stated Carlos, with sadness in his voice and anger at himself.

"Raven knew what we were planning on Coronation day, but she didn't break up with you." Jay argued.

"She told me that she couldn't follow that path." Said Carlos, "And, the night before, she took back everything she said about wanting to be together."

"But..." Jay interjected, repeating himself, "She didn't break up with you. She never said, the words."

"What does that prove?" Challenged Carlos.

"Raven knew that she wouldn't have to. She believed that you would make the right choice all along." Clarified Jay.

"And, I didn't trust that. She was right. I didn't trust her on Coronation day, I didn't trust her when Chad told me about their past, and I didn't trust that she would ever forgive me." Carlos conceded, sadly.

"I think that you still don't believe that you're a good guy. You still don't believe that you're not a worthless, callous, hood rat; or that you deserve her." Suggested Jay.

"I don't deserve her." Countered Carlos, with resolve.

"Well, you're right about that." Jay chuckled, pushing Carlos lightly.

The sun had come up and the 3D printer had finally stopped. The magic wand was complete.

"Go get your girl. And, let's go." Said Jay.

"No, she can stay behind where it's safe, she asked me to stay away from her. She's safer away from all that, and me." Carlos replied.

Jay shook his head. "Alright man, it's your call."
