A short amount of time had passed, when a handsome young man with soulful chocolate brown eyes, white and black hair, and a face speckled with adorable freckles, came into the room and was perched at the top of the staircase. He was wearing his signature red, black, and white. It appeared that Evie made him a Cotillion outfit that fit the Isle's traditional leather; and incorporated his preference to wear shorts. He also had his own leather fingerless gloves. The entire ensemble was very "Carlos".

Carlos stopped at the top, and looked down at Raven.

Her breath caught in her throat. His hair was smoothed down handsomely. In his dapper ensemble, he transformed from a boy to a young man. Raven was mesmerized.

But, after a moment, she realized that he hadn't given a response to her. He seemed to be looking right through her. Eventually, he turned and reached out his hand, offering it to someone behind him. It was a young woman. She was dressed in:

A black and red ombre dress; with a sweetheart neckline and a flowing floor length skirt; calf high-- black, stiletto boots; and, on her black and red hair that was half-up and braided and styled with shining curls; was an onyx tiara with ruby gems. Around her neck was the familiar red heart and black rose necklace. Her eyes adorned with red and black shadow and on her lips a blackish red stain.

The young woman was frighteningly beautiful; as Raven had never before seen her in the light. Her piecing blue eyes still contained no sense of warmth, and her smile was sinister in nature.

"Hartley!' Gasped Raven, turning to run towards Jay and Evie.

"What... what's happening?" Raven asked her VK friends.

"I-I have no idea." Stuttered Jay, his eyes full of shock.

"He would never..." Started Evie. "She's pure evil..."

The blue haired girl was too flabbergasted to get out her sentence.

Carlos offered the dark girl his arm, and she took it willingly. He escorted her down the staircase, and was gentle and accommodating to her.

Raven put aside her fear and jealousy, and marched forward to the mismatched couple.

"Carlos? What's going on?" She demanded, "Are you alright?"

"Raven," interrupted Hartley, in her sickeningly sweet voice, "Carlos confided to me, that you and he were no longer together. You mustn't blame yourself. His darkness is just too much for your precious pixie heart to handle, and there is no shame in that."

Raven could hear the condescension in her voice, and it was causing her blood to boil.

Carlos spoke up with little to no expression in his voice,

"Hartley's my one true love. She always has been. I was just too weak to see it. I needed to earn her love, and prove my evil heart to her. We're finally all where we belong."

"It was written in destiny since we were children." Hartley added, dramatically.

Raven then saw Mal had entered; and she was followed shortly after by King Ben...and Uma? Ben was holding Uma's hand, and flirting and laughing right in Mals' face. Mal looked devastated.

Either, this is the sickest joke that Ben and Carlos have ever concocted, or something is seriously wrong. Thought Raven.

Raven began to sense something she had felt before. The love magic from when Mal had spelled Ben. It was radiating off of him now. Raven's eyes searched Carlos and she quickly spotted a strange mark on his neck. It was like teeth, but, it was black and surrounded by small red veins.

Raven had seen this before.

"Wonderland love poison!" Raven cried.

Wonderland love poison was a slow acting poison that when delivered within the blood of a person, it could cause the victim to feel enamored. It wasn't a love spell. It was truly a poison and it worked to change a person's brain chemistry through their blood.

She had bitten Carlos' neck when they were down in the ship deck, remembered Raven, although her memories were still a little hazy. She must have put a small amount on her tongue. When her kiss wasn't enough, that's when she bit him. This must have been her plan from the very beginning, but Carlos had refused to kiss her at their first meeting.

She had to use Raven to coerce him into it.

Suddenly, in the haze of her thoughts, an enormous piece of enchanting stained glass art-- was unveiled to the guests. It was of Mal, with her natural purple hair. Her dress was jewel encrusted, dyed royal purple and dragon green- and it was adored with dragon wing embellishments. The grand piece depicted her with glowing emerald eyes.

As she examined the crystalline glass, Mal had discovered that Ben had always seen her for who she was; and he loved her not in spite of it, but, because of it. He had designed this magnificent piece for her, to show her, and to show Auradon.

Uma became physically shaken at it's unveiling, and began to demand that it be covered up. Lumiere refused. Ben was quickly coaxed by Uma to make an announcement that as a gift to her, his new Lady, that he would immediately tear down the barrier and free it's inhabitants.

Mal quickly interrupted Ben and Uma's moment to try to talk sense into the King. She told him that she knew that he saw her, the real her; and that she had loved him all along; but, was too afraid that she wasn't good enough.

Mal pressed her lips to Ben's with the sweetest, most chaste kiss-- but, it was not devoid of passion. Raven had never witnessed such an abrupt change in a person's expression, as Ben looked upon Mal's face with true and unwavering love. True love's kiss.

"Mal?" He asked, as the spell's power had dissipated.

Uma was seized by the guards upon Fairy Godmother's command, and was quickly confined.

Raven looked to Carlos. True love's kiss. It wasn't too late. Raven walked toward them, but, then she remembered... Wonderland love poison works in the blood, it's not magic. It was the brain that needed to be reworked.

"What am I going to do? How can I...?
