Sarah's head rested against the clear window inside of the moving vehicle. Not a word was spoken from the three women that sat in the car, as a variety of emotions consumed them all.

Sarah had tried eating for the last 4 days but nothing really stayed down. She had no motivation to eat, but to her surprise, both Stefani and the doctor were under the impression that she was beginning to take care of her body, though she was secretly purging her food. But Sarah couldn't tell if she was more upset with Elle or more upset at the fact that she couldn't eat.

Betrayal was a painful thing. But in this case, there was no forgiving the foolish actions that were made.

When Elle sat with her mother and sister, trying to explain what mistake she had made Sarah could practically feel the knife before she saw it. The knife of betrayal. The harsh metal should have been cold and raw against her bare skin, but her numb body could not feel anything except for the excruciating pain of her sisters betrayal.

Why did people do that?

Why do they lie to you?

As the painful words left Elle's mouth, allowing her to reveal the truth, Sarah couldn't help but stare down at her fingers, trying to hold back the screams that burned in her throat.

As for Stefani, her throat and heart held in a silver grasp, and all she could do was stare lifelessly at the brown eyes that held the blade and a terrifying coldness she had never seen before.

It was going to take days of replaying those backstabbing words to even remotely wrap her head around the fact that her daughter had done something like that.

But even though she was upset, she found a way to push it aside as she continued to care for her daughter even if Elle had stabbed her in the heart.

Stefani looked to see her youngest daughter fixed on the view outside. She placed her hand on the girls thigh, trying to soothe the tense teenager. Sarah didn't even shoot her mother a smile in return or even eye her mother for that matter. She acted as if she didn't even notice the actions, she purposely avoided making eye contact with Stefani.

Stefani frowned, she took the girls face into her hands, forcing her daughters eyes to meet hers, "Baby, are you okay?" She asked. Sarah didn't respond, she just laid her head on the woman's chest, trying to hold back and swallow every part of her anger and tears. Stefani looked down at her daughter, gently holding the girl, "Is it Elle?" She whispered. Sarah only nodded her head gently, she didn't hate her sister, she hated what she did. "It's okay to feel betrayed baby, but don't be upset with her. We're all together now, okay?" Stefani asked, trying to get rid of the pure tension. "Yeah but mama," Stefani stopped her daughter, "Baby, it's okay. C'mon, you love your sister. Don't be bitter towards her." She told her daughter. "Why are you defending her? What was she going to do if I fell for the stupid voice message?" Sarah gritted her teeth, though her mother remained calm. "I'm sure she would've spoken up like she said she would've." The blonde calmly said. "Yeah right, like I'm supposed to believe that." Her daughter responded, eyeing the girl that sat far from Sarah and Stefani. "Baby," Stefani warned. Sarah rolled her eyes, "Whatever." She said, sitting up and looking out the window once again.

Stefani sighed, she scooted closer to her child, kissing the girls cheek, "I'm sorry." She apologized. "It's fine." Her daughter bluntly said. Stefani pulled the girl into her, resting her chin on top of the girls head, "I love you." She whispered. "I love you too." Sarah said, slightly giving in. "All I'm asking is for you to learn to forgive your sister, okay? I don't want to make you upset." Stefani explained to her daughter. "I'll eventually get there, but not right now." Sarah responded. "Alright, I'm okay with that." She accepted. Sarah only nodded, attempting to move back to the window but her mother's grip tightened, "No, please stay." She requested. Sarah did as she was told, staying right next to her mother, laying her head on the blondes chest.
