Lana skipped school Today. Didn't bother even going to school. She headed out of her house to check on Jane and Hopper. But Jane was gone. Lana had never seen Jim so frustrated and worried, not to say that she didn't feel the same way.
"She will be fine. I'm sure of it." She said reassuringly while Jim poured her a cup of coffee along with his.
"She's out there alone in the world." He murmured, mainly to himself.
Lana knew about his daughter. She knew the pain in his voice. It was all too familiar to her. She was at a loss of words because nothing would help Hop feel better, but strangely she felt Jane. Lana couldn't place it but she somehow knew Jane was okay and safe.
"I shouldn't have been so hard on her." Jim said bitterly while Lana sipped her coffee.
"You were looking out for her. She will understand one day." He looked over at Her. Lana was wise for her age.
"Shouldn't you be at school?" Jim then asked and she laughed.
"Your just now asking me that? The same shit will be there tomorrow. I'll be fine." Lana answered back mindlessly.
They sat in a comfortable, soothing silence for at least a good hour until She got up.
"I'm gonna go check on the kids. See what's going on with them."
Jim nodded, getting up to walk her to the door of his cabin. He embraced her tightly.
"You be safe." He said and Lana simply nodded, waving at him then heading for her car.
