"We can give them something to talk about, If you'd like."

Billy watched Steve turn away as the music ended and yet another song came on.
Lana turned around still moving while she took another drink from her cup.
Billy just watched her.
She looked up at him.

"I need another..."
Lana mumbled going to turn away.
He softly grabbed her upper arm.

"You don't have to run you know."
Billy said and she glanced back at him.

"Who said I'm running?"
Lana shot back quietly.
Billy could barely make out what she said but his smile returned.
This time She held out her hand and He immediately grabbed it.

They found their way to the punchbowl while Billy leaned against a wall watching as Lana poured herself another drink.
He watched while other guys passed her, checking her out and he felt something different than anger.

Jealousy.

"Looking good Woods."
A guy yelled to Lana, passing by her giving her a double take.
She raised her cup at him and faced back to see Billy glaring.

"Problem?"
She asked and His face relaxed.

"No problem here."
Billy said back casually, as a guy tossed him a beer.
He raised the can to his mouth watching Lana.

She looked around, feeling his gaze still upon her.
She was officially tipsy.

"I need to use the bathroom."
Lana mumbled, turning around to go down the hall to the bathroom.
That was always her excuse when she felt anxiety settling in.
