008: Battle In Me

School was out Thursday until Next Tuesday for teacher conferences.
Halloween was nearing.
Lana decided not to even bother going to school Wednesday.
Skipping school had started to become a habit.
Steve and Gavin both called her checking up and making sure everything was okay but She wanted to be alone with her thoughts.
She was still reeling from everything.

Lana fell asleep having nightmares.

But they weren't the same.

Lana stood in a clearing and saw something cowering in the skies.
It seemed as if it was reaching for her.
The sky was blood red, fog surrounding her.
She couldn't move.
Lana was paralyzed as she stared at this dark shadow looming in the skies.

"We will destroy you. We will destroy everything you love, chosen one."

She shook her head trying to wake up, paralyzed from fear.
This couldn't be real.
But why did it feel so real?

Lana could feel a cold presence all around her.
Goosebumps formed all over her skin.
She tried to scream, but nothing came out.

"Chosen one."

Lana opened her eyes quickly, sitting up in bed, sweat covering her.

She looked and saw the morning sky peeking through her blinds.
