009: Just Can't Get Enough

"I'm not going anywhere."

Lana had spent enough time trapped in her head after everything that she was starting to realize and know was going on around her.

How could Lana live a normal life when she knows she has some sort of superpowers like something she'd read in comic books?

She knew there was nothing she could do.
She just had to roll with the punches and at some point accept what is happening rather than trying to repress it.

So when Steve called her saying Tommy was having a party she actually agreed.
She needed to take the edge off.

"Pick you up at 8?"
Steve asked and Lana agreed and hung up.
Her parents were having a rum and coke in the living room, both seated on the couch.

"Are you going out tonight honey?"
Her mother asked Lana, not really caring.

"Yeah, Steve is going to pick me up."
She answered back blankly.
Her parents said nothing else.
Her father took a call and walked out of the living room.

Did they have powers like her?

Wouldn't Lana know?
Of her Seventeen years on this earth she didn't understand how she never knew she had these powers.
It's almost like she had awaken with them, which is pretty much how it had happened.

A strange accident.

But now Lana knows, and she's going to learn to control it and not let it control her.
