Today was the day. Sunwoo was finally going to tell Chanhee that he liked him.
He and Chanhee and been best friends since they were kids. They would spend everyday together when they were kids- they still do but now they had things to do. Sunwoo was in his sophomore year of high school whereas Chanhee was in his senior year.
It sounds wrong when you think about it like that but in Sunwoo's defense, he had been around Chanhee since they were kids and catching feelings was kind of inevitable.
Sunwoo was walking to the parking lot- where Chanhee would wait for him so that they could drive home, when he suddenly felt very confident. The worst that could happen was that Chanhee didn't like him back. They had spent was too much time together to ever even think about throwing their friendship down the drain.
"Hey, Sunnie."
"Hey, hyung. Can I tell you something?"
"Sure, but make it quick because I have to go take Younghoon out for coffee."
"Umm, basically, I like you."
"Okay."
"Thats it? Just okay?"
"What do you want me to say? Not only are you 15 while I'm 17, but we've also been friends since we were kids. I only think of you as a friend. Nothing else, sorry."
"Oh."
"Do you want me to drop you off on my way?"
"No, I think I'll walk. Tell Younghoon hyung that I said hi."
'Will do."
Sunwoo was heartbroken. Not only did he get rejected and friend-zoned by his crush, but he also was ditched for someone else.
He knew that Chanhee had friends that were actually his age and that he hung out with them, but recently it felt like Chanhee didn't even want to spend time with him.
