Sunwoo spent his weekend helping Chanhee move his stuff in. Chanhee had packed all of his stuff and now Sunwoo was helping him move it into his room. Sunwoo had cursed Chanhee every time he picked up a box. The older boy had so many pairs of clothes that the chore felt like it would never end.
When they were finally done, they both spread themselves along the couch and just laid there. You know, the way you lay after you run a two mile jog. Chanhee was just thinking about how his parents were going to react when they got home and saw their only sons room completely empty.
Sunwoo on the other hand, was thinking about whether he should do something for the older boys birthday or not. Chanhee's birthday was on the upcoming Thursday, and Sunwoo didn't know if he should take him out to dinner or just stick to a regular "happy birthday."
He knew that either way Chanhee wouldn't mind, since the boy had never been one to be picky. But he really wanted to make this birthday special, since it was the first one out of his parents house and he was turning 21.
"Hey?"
"Yeah, Sunnie?"
"Are you doing anything for your birthday?"
"I think the guys said that we were going out to a club that night since I'm finally legal."
"Oh, cool."
"You wanna come?"
"I can't, remember? I'm only 19."
"Yeah but you probably have a fake ID. How else do you go out and party?"
"I don't have one. I just go out to like house parties and stuff like that."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
The two boys sat in an awkward silence after that. Sunwoo had never been one to just sit there, so he decided to get up and start making dinner.
"What do you wanna eat?"
"Anything is fine."
"Are you sure? I'm not a grade-A chef, so don't expect anything nice."
"Don't worry, your food probably tastes ten times better than mine."
"Probably not. You were always a better cook than me."
"Then how about I help you out?"
"Its your first night here, let me give you the full guest experience before you have to start doing chores and shit too."
"Wow, Sunnie. Such a gentleman, aren't you?"
"I am, aren't I?"
"I wonder when you'll finally find a girl that will appreciate your charms. It's alright. I can help you find one."
Wow, Chanhee really didn't know the new him.
He'll find out soon enough, though.
