Living with Chanhee was a lot better than Sunwoo had expected. They both split the chores and rent. Sunwoo felt like a whole weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Obviously, it had only been two days, so he couldn't say much, but it was looking pretty good so far.

Chanhee's birthday was the next day, and Sunwoo was planning on taking him out for dinner tonight since they wouldn't be together tomorrow. He was waiting in the living room for Chanhee to come out of his room, so he could tell the older boy about dinner, but he didn't come out for a while.

When he did come out, he was already dressed up.

"Hey, Sunnie. I'm going on a date right now, so don't wait up! Do I look okay?"

"You look fine, you loser. Who even are you going out with?"

"I forgot her name, but she's one of Sangyeon's friends."

"So she's older?"

"Yah! Don't say it like that, you make it sound like I'm going on a date with his grandma."

"Whatever stupid, hurry up before you leave her hanging."

"See you later, bye!"

And then he was gone.

---------

Sunwoo spent the whole rest of the night feeling miserable. He wished that it was because he was blown off for a girl, but he had no right.

Firstly, he hadn't told Chanhee about these plans beforehand, so it was only natural that he would make some plans on his own. Second, the two boys weren't even friends. What right would Sunwoo have to be mad? It wasn't like they were close or anything.

So that left only one more reason. Sunwoo liked Chanhee.

Sunwoo tried to find any reason that he could use to deny this conclusion, but there was none to be found. He really didn't want to like Chanhee. The older wasn't even his friend, and he was straight for crying out loud!

Why did Sunwoo have to like him of all people?
