Walking back from the talent show was refreshing. After being in that stuffy hall for more than an hour, it felt amazing to walk outside to the dorms. It was beautiful outside, with all the cherry blossoms near the hostel in full bloom, even in the dark.
It was surprisingly late. The talent show probably took longer than expected, because the teachers already said it was near curfew. Tae-young was shocked to see that curfew was at midnight and that it was already 11:30 PM. And knowing himself, he wanted to spend time getting ready before going to bed.
He was in the dorms to put on some comfortable clothes. He felt a little out of place, with everybody else in the dorm just wearing a t-shirt and some basketball shorts. Hyeong-jun poked a little fun at Tae-young saying that of course, he would be the type of person to wear silk pajamas. But he also said they looked nice on him, which made Tae-young feel happy.
Tae-young stood in one of the shared bathrooms, ready to finally do his skincare. He was shocked to find out that Jung-mo and Se-rim wash their faces with water. Only water.
As he turned on the sink, waiting for the water to be warm, a tall handsome kid came into the washroom. Tae-young's eyes widened, gasping.
"Whoa, no way! You're the one from the talent show! You were amazing!" Tae-young said with a smile of shock. Min-hee walked over to the sink next to Tae-young's.
"Thanks!" he replied with a smile, placing his toiletry bag on the sink. "You look a little familiar. What's your name?"
"I'm Kim Tae-young, I'm in Class 7!" Tae-young smiled, proud of himself for being able to engage in friendly conversation.
"No way, you're the one who stood up to Ms. Kim?"
Tae-young laughed at that comment. Had that really become his legacy? He nodded, "Yeah, that's me."
"I am in your debt then, honestly. She always gives way too much homework," Min-hee chuckled. He was rummaging through his toiletry bag, looking for something. "Ah, crap, I forgot my cleanser," he pouted.
"You can have some of mine!" Tae-young smiled as he held up his own foam cleanser, "I don't know what your skin type is but this is good for dry skin."
"Oh, that's my skin type!" Min-hee smiled happily, "Thank you."
Min-hee stretched out his arms, cupping both of his hands, ready to receive some cleansing foam from Tae-young. Tae-young squeezed out some product the size of a large pea, and Min-hee said a little "thank you" as he then instantly started washing his face.
Tae-young smiled at the tall boy beside him who was very intensely rubbing the foam all over his face. He kind of looked like a cloud.
All of a sudden, Tae-young noticed a pretty bracelet in Min-hee's left wrist; it was a thin silver chain with two small heart pendants. He instantly recognized which brand it was from, seeing as it was from a very expensive couple's jewelry company. He had previously tried buying a pair. "Wow, I like your bracelet!"
Min-hee, face now clean, smiled fondly, lifting his wrist to look at the bracelet, "Thank you," he laughed.
"It's from the couple's collection, right? That must be one lucky girlfriend," Tae-young chuckled.
Min-hee smiled looking at the bracelet, "I got it from my very own special someone. I'm surprised you know the brand, not a lot of people know it."
"Ah, I actually bought something there once for my girlfriend, but they're always sold out."
"Oh, believe me, I know," he giggled.
Tae-young and Min-hee stood there in the washroom, side by side, just doing their skincare and having a nice little conversation. Tae-young was so impressed that his personality was so bright even normally. He seemed like a cool guy. He'd definitely make a great idol one day.
