Usually for a sixteen year old birthday, the classic gift would be  car but Yu-jun wasn't like most teen his age, he didn't want something materialistic. He hasn't been like that for years. Misun was at his apartment, sitting down on the old run down couch.

"Mihyuk told me that they have something special to share with us," she took a sip from the freshly brewed tea that Taehyung gave her, she was his guest, "I wonder what that would be?" Taehyung question what his son wanted to say or show, usually it's him who showcases things to his son. Now the roles have reversed.

Mihyuk walls out of Yu-jun's bedroom, walking hand in hand, "Ms. Gyeol, I would like permission to date your son. We have been secretly dating for a couple months now but since it's my birthday, and he is coming up soon, we would actually like your blessing."

Taehyung looked at the young pair, reminds him much of when he was dating Jeongguk, how shy they were to come out. How they were scared to come out to their own parents, who ended up being very open minded.

Misun spoke up first, "Mihyuk, honey, you don't need my blessing, your old enough to know what you like, if you like men, then that's fine, if you like females, then that's fine as well. If you like both, or not at all or are slowly finding yourself, I'm here for you. I'm just sad you didn't tell me sooner, son," she stopped her sentence to sip the warm liquid, "I'm getting the feeling that you thought I would accept you, let me make it clear now, I love you for who you are. Don't ever be ashame to tell me something like this, I am your mom. I will be by your side." Mihyuk smiled at his mother's words.

"I thought you would have judged me, you know how society is here in Korea, I just didn't think straight," he admitted.

"We understand, boys," Taehyung felt the same thing, he explained to Mihyuk that he was also placed into that position, assuming that no one would accept him for his sexuality. Society doesn't matter, all that mattered was that he respected himself enough to be honest with his own self. "Yu-jun, you do have my blessing. You didn't need to hide, honey, I'm sorry if I ever gave you the impression that I would not accept you. I support you all the way," he spoke with full confidence, "me and Misun both do."

Misun smiled as she saw the boys hug each other, finding comfort, finally being able to breath.

"Would dad have accepted me?" Yu-jun pushed away from his boyfriend, who didn't want to let go of him yet. Yu-jun head was resting on Mihyuk's chest. Finding comfort in the elder's embrace.  Mihyuk was one year older than Yu-jun But he respected the male until it was the latter who confessed his long awaited feelings.

"Of course, me and him both were in a same sex relationship, why would he judge his own son? He did the same thing, love is love. That's what your dad said. He would talk about how society doesn't need to give their input because this choice doesn't affect them. Take those words," Taehyung turn his head to the side to his Misun proud of his words of encouragement. "If he was here, he would hug you close and say that he is impressed how you figured yourself out, how you had the courage to come out despite of what you though we," he motioned towards he and his friend, " were going to say. That takes courage, son."

Yu-jun just smiled, "I hope that he is proud of me, somewhere,"
