Just a Prank? (Saiouma Christmas Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

*Beep Beep Beep Bee-*

Shuichi groaned and turned his alarm off. He got up after a few minutes and went to the bathroom to get ready, throwing on some black jeans and a dark blue hoodie. His school was pretty far away and he didn't take the bus so he walked which was about 20 minutes away. He grabbed his backpack and walked out the door, not caring about breakfast. Walking down the street, he stopped at his friend's house. That friend was none other than the one, the only, Kokichi Ouma. Shuichi sighed and knocked on his door, hoping Kokichi would be ready this time.

Suddenly, the door swung open with a very smiley Kokichi standing in the doorway.

"Good morning Shuichi!" Kokichi said in his normal cheerful voice.

"Good morning. You seem extra chipper today." Shuichi stated while the two started walking.

"Really? Well, it is Friday! I suppose that Panta must be taking a toll on my energy too." Kokichi said with a smile.

"Panta this early in the morning!?"

"Yeah, I was extra tired today so I thought it might help. As you saw, I was ready today."

"If you want to be energized just eat breakfast."

"But that takes so long to do and you know I would burn down my house."

Shuichi sighed, "Yeah, you've got a point."

They kept walking and talked for a while until they arrived. They had homeroom together so they walked down and went into the classroom.

They spent most of the time talking to their classmates until the principal, Mr. Kuma (sorry, boring, I know), interrupted them with one quick announcement over the intercom.

"Alright everybody, as you know we have been talking about dorms lately. Next week you will be moving in. You all have over the weekend to choose who you will be living with and to pack. There will be only two people per dorm since they are so small so choose wisely."

The whole class started talking to one another, discussing the new topic. Kokichi and Kaito immediately walked over to Shuichi and he already knew what was coming. He was going to have to turn one of them down. Kokichi and Kaito stared at each other, both having a somewhat frustrated face.

"Um, guy-" Shuichi started, only to be cut off by the bell. He rushed out of the classroom so he could deal with the problem later. Kokichi walked out of the classroom then ran to Shuichi since they were both in the next class.

"Hey, Shuichi! You can't run from me!" Kokichi exclaimed as he caught up with Shuichi.

"I know." Shuichi sighed.

The rest of the walk to their class was silent, besides the other students in the hallway. They sat through the rest of their classes until lunch.

Shuichi and Kokichi walked to lunch together and got in line for food. They got their food and sat down.

"Sooo," Kokichi started, "What are we going to do with the dorm situation?"

"Ah, well, I-l don't exactly know. You and Kaito are both good friends of mine..."

"Eh, I know but, we've known each other for longer.'' The smaller pouted.

As if on cue, Kaito came over to their table and sat next to Shuichi.

"Hey bro!" Kaito exclaimed.

"Hey, Kaito."

"What're you guys talking about?" Kaito asked.

"We-Um-" Shuichi stuttered.

"We are talking about the dorms situation." Kokichi stated.

"Oh, yeah that is the new topic. Well, we have the whole weekend to decide who we're gonna share one with. Don't stress too much about it." Kaito said with a thumbs up.

Shuichi smiled, "Thanks."

They ate their lunch together talking about random topics other than the dorms. Shuichi noticed that the other two were giving each other glares occasionally.

"Well, lunch is ending soon and I've got something to do before class. I'll see you guys later." Shuichi said, getting up from the table.

"Bye!" Kaito and Kokichi said in unison.

School had ended and Shuichi was looking around for Kaito and Kokichi but he didn't spot them anywhere in the school so he headed outside. Not too surprisingly, he found Kokichi outside.

"Kokichi, have you seen Kaito anywhere?" Shuichi asked.

"Nope, I think he already left," Kokichi replied.

Shuichi sighed. "I figured."

"Perfect. Now I have you all to myself, Shuichi!"

"W-Huh!?"

"Nishishi! I'll see you 'round, Shuichi!"

Kokichi left, leaving Shuichi confused. Shuichi snapped out of his daze and ran to catch up with Kokichi.

"Oh, honey! You have come back to me! Have you finally realized your love for me?" Kokichi said dramatically.

"Kokichi!? W-What are you saying?!" Shuichi stuttered.

"Pfttt. You're so easy to tease, Shumai." Kokichi said, playfully punching Shuichi's arm. Shuichi sighed and they kept walking until they got home. They said their goodbyes and walked into their houses, both slightly unsure of who they would move in with.

Okay so yeah, that's the first chapter. I would appreciate feedback as this is my very first fanfiction I have ever written.

Also I will be publishing these on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays   until Christmas day (which is the day I will publish the last chapter).
