Chapter 2

Shuichi sighed as he walked through a park, looking for a bench. It was a Sunday and he had already packed  He quickly found a bench that was away from the few people there and started reading. He read in peace for about an hour, before that peace was shattered by someone grabbing his hat.

"Gh! What the-!" Shuichi sputtered out.

"Well hello, Shuichi!" The person said.

Shuichi already recognized who it was just from their voice.

"Kokichi! Hey, give it back!" Shuichi scrambled to catch the hat thief, but Kokichi had already started running for the woods. Shuichi ran through the forest, chasing after Kokichi, trying to get his hat back.

"Hey! Kokichi, come back here!" The bluenette yelled out. 'This is pretty extra, compared to other times he's taken my hat.' He thought. 'Most likely since we're in the open and not inside.'

"Nishishi! You'll never catch me!" Kokichi yelled back.   

He kept running and stopped when he heard the crunching of leaves go in the other direction. He sighed and walked back, greeting an irritated Shuichi.

"Giving up already? Aw, man! You're no fun!" The smaller pouted.

"Give me my hat back," Shuichi demanded.

"Nishishi! Fine but that's quite the bird's nest Shuichi!" Kokichi said, pulling the leaves and branches out of the taller's hair.

"Now my hat," Shuichi said sternly.

Kokichi frowned and gave his hat back and Shuichi walked away, still annoyed about the leader's actions.

"Not even a thank you? You're so mean Saihara-chan!" Kokichi said running to catch up with Shuichi who just ignored him and tried walking faster.

"Why do you even wear that emo hat anyway?" Kokichi asked, poking Shuichi's arm repeatedly.

"Okay geez," Shuichi pulled his arm away, "I wear the hat because I don't like to make eye contact."

"Why?" The smaller asked, poking Shuichi again.

"Because."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Why?"

"Goodbye Kokichi." Shuichi sighed.

"Bye-bye!"

Shuichi sighed and walked back to his home, and Kokichi went to his house as well.

The purple-haired leader got home and scrolled through social media. He came across a few photos of his friends and saw what they were up to. Kaito was doing some training with Maki, Himiko posted something about magic, and most of his other classmates were just hanging out since it was the weekend. Kokichi was already feeling bored and he wanted to hang out with someone too, so he decided to text Shuichi, despite the fact they just fought.
