Chapter 7

Shuichi quickly ran down the hill to Kokichi, almost slipping a few times. He pushed past a few branches and spotted Kokichi.

"Kokichi! Are you alright?" Shuichi asked in a panic.

"Y-Yeah. I think I might have a few scratches or so but I'll deal with it," Kokichi told him.

Shuichi started taking off Kokichi’s gloves and examining his hands, since they were the thinnest clothing he had on, finding thorns on the gloves and some dug into his hand. There were some bigger scratches along with some smaller ones and they were bleeding a bit.

"O-One second, I'll bring bandages real quick," Shuichi said. He helped Kokichi up and pulled him out of the woods and Kokichi sat on his sled as Shuichi went up the hill.

"Is he alright?" Rantaro asked worriedly.

"Yeah, luckily he went down with his hands covering his face so he didn't get any scratches there but, the gloves didn't protect his hands too well. The layers of clothes and his hat kept him pretty safe as well," Shuichi said.

Rantaro nodded understandingly. Shuichi went over to Kirumi who seemed to have everyone crowded around her car. Shuichi saw she was passing out hot chocolate. 'How did she even make that when it's so cold out?' Shuichi wondered. He pushed the thought away and walked up to Kirumi.

"Shuichi, would you like some hot chocolate?" She offered.

"N-No thanks. Do you have any bandages?" Shuichi asked.

"Oh, yes," She said as she reached into a bag in her car. She pulled out a few bandages and handed them to Shuichi. He thanked her then rushed down the hill once again.

"Oh, my sweet prince! You've finally come back! It's been days," Kokichi said dramatically, laying down on the sled and putting a hand on his forehead.

Shuichi blushed and said, "H-Here. Give me your hand."

Kokichi obeyed and put out his hand allowing Shuichi to bandage it up.

"Other one," Shuichi said.

Kokichi put out his other hand and Shuichi bandaged that one too. While in the process, Kokichi laughed a bit.

"Why are you laughing?" Shuichi asked.

"It's nice that you worry about me," Kokichi said softly. "Thanks for helping me, Shu."

"It's no problem, Kokichi. I'm doing it for someone I love," Shuichi smiled as he finished bandaging his hand.

Kokichi smiled back and then realized what he said and Shuichi did the same.

"W-Wait, I-I um, I'm sorry K-Koki-" Shuichi was cut off by Kokichi wrapping his arms around Shuichi's neck and bringing his face down to his, kissing him. Shuichi was shocked at first but melted into it and kissed back with his arms holding him up. They pulled away, their cheeks rosy as they gazed into each other's eyes. Suddenly, Kokichi scooted away and stood up, pulling Shuichi up with him by the hand.

"We should start heading up with the others now," Kokichi suggested.

Shuichi just nodded, not trusting himself to speak.
They walked up to the top of the hill and met up with the others who were still hanging around Kirumi's car.

"Why is everyone over there?" Kokichi asked.

"Kirumi brought hot chocolate."

"Really? Let's go get some!" Kokichi grabbed Shuichi's hand and ran over to Kirumi.

"Hello, Kokichi. Are your hands alright?" Kirumi asked.

"Yeah. Thankfully Shumai bandaged them up for me," He said turning and smiling at Shuichi.
