Chapter 4

Shuichi had just woken up, bright and early from the thought of what Kokichi had done. He got up immediately and got ready. He rushed out the door and went to Kokichi’s house and knocked loudly on the door. After some time, Kokichi answered the door, looking like a tired mess.

"What is it Shumai? It's way too early." Kokichi said while rubbing his eyes.

"No it isn't-" Shuichi said before he checked a clock on Kokichi's wall. "Oh, well, it's still a good time to wake up to get ready. I suggest you do so."

Kokichi groaned and went upstairs to get ready. Shuichi went into Kokichi's kitchen and cooked some breakfast because he had enough cooking skills to at least cook some breakfast.

"Alright, I'm done," Kokichi said as he walked down the stairs. He walked over to Shuichi and stared at him as he cooked their breakfast. "Why are you cooking breakfast?" Kokichi asked.

"Because I haven't eaten and you still need to eat to get energy other than Panta," Shuichi responded. Kokichi nodded and they headed over to the table to eat.

After they ate, they cleaned the dishes, Shuichi wanted to ask Kokichi about his prank.

"Hey, about that prank," Shuichi said anxiously.

"What about it?" Kokichi questioned, tilting his head to the side a bit.

"Um, what are the people at school going to say?"

Kokichi just shrugged and said, "I don't know. They'll just ask us stuff I guess but it's nothing."

"What do you mean that it's nothing?! Maybe to you it is, but you know how the people at school are with relationship stuff! And-"

Kokichi cut Shuichi off, "Jeez, your such a worrywart. Don't worry about the teasing and stuff. I'll help you deal with it. People probably won't even care because all the "relationship stuff" ended a while ago." Kokichi patted Shuichi on the shoulder.

"What is Kaito gonna do? I mean, I didn't even get to talk to him about the dorms. I-I don't want to be rude about it." He mumbled as he put his head in his hand.

"It doesn't matter what he says. He will most likely be accepting since you guys are "bros". And if he saw the post, he would understand that since we were in a relationship that we would be in a dorm together. Also, if it's that bad you can tell him that it was a prank."

Shuichi sighed, "Y-yeah, I guess you're right."

"But that shouldn't be the topic right now since it's 15 minutes till school," Kokichi said while rushing to get his jacket on.

"Shoot!" Shuichi said, frantically putting on his shoes. They both sprinted out of the door and started running to the school. Their school was just a bit more than ten minutes away so they didn't have much time.

Eventually, they made it and stood in front of the school out of breath. They headed in and went to their classroom. Shuichi stood outside for a second, hesitant to walk in because of the prank.

"Shuichi it'll be fine. Just remember what I said at home. I wasn't lying!" Kokichi reassured Shuichi, smiling at him. The taller took a deep sigh and nodded. They walked into the classroom together and everyone stopped talking to look at them. Shuichi immediately got embarrassed and anxious and he tried to grab his hat but it wasn't there. He panicked, remembering he was in such a rush that he forgot his hat. He quickly walked to his seat and could hear everyone whispering. Kaito walked over to him.

"Heya, sidekick," Kaito said a bit awkwardly.

"H-Hi, Kaito," Shuichi mumbled, looking down at his desk.
