A/N: Honestly, I totally forgot about this book. Here is Chapter

The dead members of Sunset Curve land at Monica Beach. They were disheartened at the sight in front of them. Reggie's house was no longer there and in it's place was a bike shack. The old neighborhood was no longer there and instead restruants and shops filled the block.

"I guess my folks are gone" states Reggie. Mei sees the sadness on his face and gives him a hug. Luke pats his shoulder and sits on a log.

"No. Everyone is gone. 25 years, gone" says Alex as Mei releases from the hug and sits next to Luke.

"Friends. Family" says Luke.

At the word family Mei's eyes widen in shock. She forgot about her mom.

'She is probably freaking out after that note I left her. What have I done?' Mei thinks to herself. Her breaths start to fasten, her heart pounding on her rib cage trying to be set free. Her ears ring as the outside word becomes silent.

"Let's be real for a second. It's not like we were that close to our families. My folks always regretted buying me that guitar. Reggie, your parents were literally a fight away from a divorce. Alex, Mei, your parents were never cool again after you told them you were gay" Mei hears Luke say.

"Ok. None of us had it great. All right? But at least we had something. You know, what do we have now? And before you say cool teleportation skills," Alex points at Luke, "just know I'm not entirely ok with that either. All right? It tingles."

Mei speaks up. "I have to show you guys something when we leave here"  The group falls silent as they hear her soft voice. The ocean breeze blowing her curls into her face and behind her.

Luke changes the subject and continues the original conversation. "I'll tell you what we had" he says standing up from the log. "It's what we had since the day we came together" Mei looks up at him as he jumps on the log. "Guys, we have us. We're the only family we're ever gonna need. Do you know what else we have?" asks Luke.

"I'm going to guess death breath" says Reggie. Mei laughs and a few people turn towards her.

"Our music, you dork" Luke replies with a slight laugh. "We have our music, you guys. People, actual people can hear us play! M, people can see you! They can feel us. If I had my guitar, I would play for all of these people right now. Just likw what we used to do down at the pier." Mei nods her head in agreement. She remembers all of the afternoons her and the boys spent at the pier singing and playing music. The bright smiles on the crowds faces and the applause that followed.  "I wish I had my guitar" when the words came from Luke's mouth a guitar fell into his hands, the force spinning him around.

"Woah" the four of them say at the same time.

"That was rad. How'd you do that?" asks Reggie.

"I don't know" says Luke. Mei gets up from the log and wipes off the sand from her jeans. "I wished for it, and then it came in my hands" stutters Luke.

"I-I-I wish I had a puppy" nothing happens. "A hamster?" "Pizza?" Again, nothing. Reggie kicks the sand and sits down with a pout on his face.

"I think I know something that will cheer you up" says Mei giving Reggie her hand to help him stand up. Mei nods her head towards Luke and he starts to play an upbeat tune.

"Come on Reginald" says Alex as he starts to create a rhythm using his legs and shoulders.

"One, two, three four" Luke starts to count.

"Can you? Can you hear me?" Alex sings.

"Loud and Clear" Reggie and Mei sing.

"Got to get. Got to get ready" Alex sings again.

"Because it's been years" sings Luke while continuing to play the guitar.

"Oh, this band is back. Oh, this band is back" the band sings in sync. Their voices blending beautifully. The band continues to sing while dancing on tables and chairs. After their song is finished they skip away from the beach with their arms around each others shoulders.

A sense of dread fills through Mei's body as they reach her mom's house. She has yet to tell her friends about what she has done and she is afraid to do so.

'Maybe..my mom hasn't seen it yet. Maybe I can go inside and get it before she notices, its only been twenty four hours' Mei reasons with herself.

"I have to show you guys something" says Mei as they walk through the front door. The boys follow quietly behind her as they make their way to her old room.

Upon entrance, the boys immediately notice the colorful sticky notes that covered the walls. The three boys look around the room while Mei stays at the door.

"What is all of this?" asks Luke gesturing to the walls.

"These are messages left by my mom after I died as a way to contact me. I came here yesterday before the sleep over. I was overwhelmed with emotion and I didn't have my head on tight. I ended up writing back to her. I left a sticky note in her room on her wall an-and-" a sob escapes Mei as her hands shake and her chests tightens. Alex immediately pulls her in a hug to calm her down, the boys following behind him. Their hug is interrupted by a cough coming from the hallway. They all look up. There in the dimly lit hallway stood Mei's mother, Alexis Reeves.

A/N; Hey guys sorry this took so long to post. I totally forgot about this book I've been tied up with school work. This chapter may seem a little shorter than the other chapters and that because it is but only by 40 words roughly. Hopefully in the next chapter we see more of Julie and Mei. Thank you for reading! <3
