Draco and I stayed like that for a while, until, finally, I could tell he was getting tired of standing in the same spot. I loosened my arms and untied my arms from around his shoulders.

He looked at me for a few moments, then parted his lips to speak. "Will you come to dinner at my house? I have something to tell you." He said evenly. I nodded. Of course I would, if he really wants me to.

"Yes of course. When do we leave?" I asked, tilting my head slightly. He grinned and took his wand from his back pocket, then gestured for me to come closer.

I did so, placing my hand on his shoulder. And just like that, he cast the teleportation spell. Within a few moments we stood in the dark dining room of Malfoy Manor.

I shivered slightly. This place has always given me an odd feeling, one that doesn't seem to go away. I noticed the table was prepared for four guests, which confused me.

"Draco, who all is attending this dinner?" I asked, examining the plates. The dining table was large, having ten seats in total. The head chair was set, and three right next to it.

"My mother and father, and you and I." He answered, pulling out one of the chairs for me to sit in. My eyes widened a bit. He couldn't be serious. He just invited me to a dinner with his mother and father?

I had no idea what to say. I walked over and sat in the chair, watching as Draco took a seat next to me, closest to the head of the table, which I assumed is where his father would sit.

A few moments later, I heard the slightest bit of noise coming from down the hallway. And then, two figures appeared.

A head of blond hair that was extremely long, and another that had both black and white hair. Lucius and Narcissa.

Lucius walked- more like strided in- pride was obviously built so far up his ass he couldn't walk straight. But Narcissa, on the other hand, actually walked like a normal human being.

Lucius took his seat at the head of the table, and Narcissa took her seat across from Draco.

I fixed my posture as they sat down, keeping my attention on my plate instead of on Draco's parents.

"Ah, Y/n, welcome to Malfoy Manor," Lucius said with a grin, folding his napkin onto his lap. "Or should I say welcome back?" He asked mischievously, a sheepish grin still remaining on his lips.

I nodded and tried to smile, but nervousness was fuming inside of me. A server came inside holding a plater with four bowls of soup, he sat one in front of everyone then left the room.

We all grabbed a spoon and began eating, silence overwhelming the room entirely. "So, you and my son, hm?" He asked, sipping a bit of soup as he stared into my eyes.

"Yes. We've been getting quite close." I answered calmly, keeping my tone even; unreadable. Draco kept silent, and his features even. I couldn't tell what he was thinking, but there was definitely tension between everyone.

"I see. And has he told you?" Lucius asked, tilting his head slightly as he sat the spoon aside. I looked to Draco, so seemed to have turned even paler in shading. He surely hadn't told me what Lucius was referring to.

"Father, I will." Draco weaved into our conversation, cutting us both off from saying anything else. Whatever it was, whatever this secret I didn't know was, hurt him to even think about.

Draco turned toward me, blond hair sweeping across his forehead. His eyes were worrisome, I didn't know why, though.

"I have to leave you." He said bluntly, as if talking to a wall with no emotion.

"This should be good." Lucius said with a half-smile, leaning back into his chair and crossing his arms along his chest.

My eyes remained on Draco- trying to read him for something. "You what?" I asked. My voice was damaged, hurt. He couldn't mean leave me, right? There must be some kind of mistake.

"Lord Voldemort has given me two options.." He said, turning away from my gaze. "He either kills you, or I join the Death Eaters." He said cooly, almost like he was already trying to forget the memory of me.

My jaw opened. This was unbelievable. There's no way this was happening. I tried to pinch myself, through the wool sweater I wore, but I didn't wake up in my bed.

I got up from the chair and turned to Draco. His head was hanging in sadness. Then I looked to Lucius, who's stupid smirk was finally starting to bother me.

"You filthy bloody man!" I yelled at him. Finally, I had reached a breaking point. My temper was uncontrollable, I was uncontrollable.

"Y/n!" Draco yelled from the table, getting up. He grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the dining room, into the hallway. The coolness of the house was gone, now all I felt was warmth of rage.

"You aren't actually going to leave me, right?" I asked, frantic was pushing through all my words. His hand slid down my arm and into my hand, where his fingers intertwined with mine.

"You are not going to die because of me, Y/n." He answered. That means only one thing- he is going to leave.

An overwhelming sense of sadness, anger, and even separation was hurtling inside of me. There's no possible way this was actually happening. It must all just be some kind of dream— nightmare.

I stood in shock, utter and complete denial. I couldn't look him in the eyes, I couldn't even look at him. All I could feel was pain; despair.

He pulled me into a hug, one so close not even a centimeter separated us. His body pushed against mine and mine pushed against his. Our arms wrapped around one another's waist.

I couldn't hold back anymore- not after I've been trying for so long. A stream of tears flooded my face and the sweater he wore. My head tucked into his neck, heaving for air as the tears consumed us.

I could feel his shaky breath on my neck- he was crying too.

He is all I have, he is all I am. How could this be happening to me?- to us?

"Please don't leave me." I said through the tears, searching for air between my words and the sadness that was coursing through me. He pulled me tighter against him, his hand stroking my hair.

"I'm sorry." He said quietly, so quietly I almost didn't hear it between the tears we both poured against one another.

"I love you." He said quietly, but louder than the last time. This made me cry harder- which I didn't think was possible. I was shaking, grieving even though he was still there, with me.

"I love you too." I managed to say back between my gasps for air. He held me closer for a few moments, as if creating a picture in his mind that he would remember forever.

"Apparition." He said so lightly, so quietly I thought that maybe I just imagined it.

But in a few moments, I was standing back in the corridor I had vanished from hours ago. I looked around for him- for Draco- but he was gone.
