We all have goals or dreams we want to make real. They can be materialistic, social status etc it doesn't matter. Having goals isn't bad because it keeps you motivated and that allows to preserver.

Anyway there is a difference with the way we envision our goals and reality. Reality is a bitch and it will ruin your hopes, fantasies and dreams with you know reality. So I believe it's for the best to have dreams and never meet them.

Okay before you go, "What the Fuck Alipi you insensitivity freak stop destroying my dreams. Momy always told me I was a champion!" Let me explain.

Example:

Little boy born in poverty dreams of being filthy rich. In his imagination he probably sees rich people without worries just enjoying their wealth.

Wrong! Reality is a bitch. Rich people don't have a life without worries, they have problems unique to those of their social status. Debt, rivals, backstabbing partners, multimillion dollar frauds and trying to remain on the top while kissing up to those of higher status.

Now that is too cliche so what if the boy just wants to have a nice luxuries sport car. And let's say he gets it.

Now he owns not only the car but the problems that come along with that car. Auto repairs, replacement wheels, gasoline and  maintenance. Now the boy is a man and has kids. Now that two seater isn't that great anymore. Now the boy realizes that the luxury car of his dreams isn't that great in real life.

^^The point is that our dreams and reality aren't always the same, in fact most of the time they are different. We become depress over the disappointment of realizing how mundane our dreams are.

So maybe it isn't that great to accomplish your goals. Its better to live in ignorant bliss and say,  "that is so wonderful I wish I had it," with an innocent smile. Those who accomplish their dreams gain that hole in their hearts, that strange sensation of "this is it?"

Vote if you have goals

Stay cool
