"Ian, umuwi ka na.. please"  I pleaded, almost a whisper. He looked at me confused, his eyebrows are already furrowed.

"What? Who's this old man wife?"  he asked, his tone is wanting so bad to be answered. I looked away so that he can't see my teary eyes. I don't want to cry in front of him, it will make it worse. 

"He was your husband?" this old man asked

"I'm her husband, not was" Ian corrected him, eyeing him sharply.

"Why don't you join us?"  Mr. Yang asked and plastered a smirk. Damn this old man

Hindi na nagdalawang isip si Ian at pumasok na sa loob. Kaagad siyang lumapit sa 'kin at hinapit ang bewang ko palapit sakanya. This is not good.

"So tell me, what do you want from my wife?" Ian asked, glaring at the old man.  Ian held my hand when he noticed that my hands are shaking. 

"Well you see, you abandoned your wife with your child inside her tummy less than six years ago" the old man started to tell the story. Ian raised a brow, wanting to hear the full story

"We had a deal. I will finance her and her baby in exchange of-" 

"Enough!" I shouted to cut him off. "Let's not go further, I will give you what you want, only for tonight"  I said in a serious tone. Ian tightened his grip on my hand that made me nervous about what he's already thinking.  He let out something on his pocket and harshly put it on the table which made a loud noise. 

"Isn't that enough?" Ian asked when Mr. Yang glanced at the bank check, he looks surprised about what he saw. Hindi na hinayaan ni Ian na magsalita ang matanda at hinila na kaagad ako paalis. 

Tahimik lang siya at matalim ang tingin sa harapan habang hinihintay naming bumaba ang elevator. Hindi siya kumibo, hindi ko alam kung anong nararamdaman niya ngayon. 

Pinagbuksan niya ako ng kotse bago siya pumasok. Pagkapasok niya nilabas niya ang phone niya at nagdial ng number

"Pick up Lia and let her stay with you tonight" He said and end the phonecall

"Will you enlighten me?" he asked in a serious tone. He's too curious about the old man. I gulped, I feel like there's a lump stuck in my throat. I can't talk

"Wife please!" he shouted. I don't know if he's mad or just want to be answered

"We agreed to have.." I breathed deeply before continuing "We agreed to have sex in return of what he did for us" I said and covered my face using my palm. I can't even look at him. I startled when he hit the steering wheel emphatically.

"I thought you're with Kianna all this time. Why do you have to ask for that old man's help?" he said in a low voice. I can tell that he's trying to calm himself down

"When I met Kianna, Lia's already out of my womb. I met the old man that night you pushed me away. I thought he's just being kind but of course, of course there's something he wants in return. I'm hesitating if I should take that offer or not but then I remember what you've said" I stopped and glanced at him. Tinignan niya din ako, hinihintay ang susunod kong sasabihin "Na baka 'yon lang talaga ang ambag ko sa mundo. You made me think that being a sex slave is my only role in this world!" I yelled when I remembered that thing again. His face looks full of regrets

"Why didn't you asked for my parent's help love?" He asked in a low voice. it's almost a whisper 

"If I asked for your parent's help or stay in our house, they will force you to be with me, not Denice. We both know that you're having a child with her. I don't want to ruin someone's family." I saw how his lips parted a bit. He looks surprised by my reason. I looked outside the car's window because I can't handle this tension between us. "Wala akong malapitan noon that's why I agreed. I don't want to abort our child. It's not my fault that you're busy with someone while I'm suffering carrying your child!" I yelled and looked at him. I'm starting to get mad at him again. Remembering those times brought back this hatred I kept inside me for years. I have no choice that time.
