Calvin Frost used to be a simple man. Owner of a ice factory before it got closed down. Calvin put his whole life savings into that place. Sadly, he had to turn to crime once his wife Lucy divorced him. Secretly of course. He had to go deep into the criminal underworld to acquire some weapons. Luckily, a arms dealer gave him a pair of sub zero pistols for $6,000. Calvin robbed a few banks before Red Dragonfly came along. Since then, he's been in hiding.

Calvin managed to sneak back into his ex-wife's house. He just got away from the police with a bag full of money. He panted softly from all the running he did. He looked to his side to see his daughter, Kayla hooked up to a heart monitor. Calvin wasn't just some cheap crook looking for a penny to spend. For years, he'd been trying to raise enough money for Kayla's surgery.

Nothing really matters to Calvin. His job, his crimes, not even his ex-wife. But his daughter meant everything to him. She was his responsibility. As Calvin looked at all the childhood drawing she made, Lucy turned on the lights to the bedroom. "What are you doing here?" She asked with a stern expression. "I'm just here to see my kid." Calvin replied, handing her a wad of cash from his bag.

Lucy rolled her eyes, smacking the cash out of his hand. "You don't belong here."

Calvin sighed as he sat on the couch wrapped in plastic in the living room. He took off the warm, bulky winter coat he had on all day. "So, is this what you do everyday? Get paid for crooked shit?" Lucy frowned at the bag of money and the sub zero pistols he carried.

"You do realize that I'm doing this all for her, right?" Calvin snapped at her. "The doctors can't help, I can!"

"You haven't done shit for our child for the last 7 years!" Lucy yelled.

As they were arguing, Kayla woke up out of her sleep, getting the attention of her parents. Calvin quickly calmed down and went over to his bedridden daughter. "Hey sweetie." Calvin said with a innocent smile. Kayla smiled back at her father. "I miss you, daddy." Calvin's heart wrenched as he hugged Kayla softly. "I missed you two, kiddo." He replied with tears in his eyes. "I promise you...when I get the money...I'll spend all the time in the world with you."

Lucy pulled him away from the bed, holding the bags of money. Calvin sighed softly, kissing Kayla on the forehead. "I'll get the money for y'all, I promise." Lucy only just rolled her eyes. "Just leave before the cops get here." Calvin climbed out of the window, taking one last look at Kayla before leaping into an alley.

FOUR MONTHS LATER

Russell and Rosemary were getting dressed for their date at Romita's Bar & Grill. Russell was wearing a decent grey suit. He didn't think it was that much for a fancy date like this but hopefully he looked presentable.

"Rosemary, are you ready for our da-"

Russell was cut off as he walked in, seeing Rosemary wearing a black dress. She looked beautiful as he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Rosemary smiled as she tucked her badge and gun in a holster underneath her dress in just in case.

"How do I look?" Rosemary grinned, feeling a little nervous.
"You look beautiful." Russell complimented her as he kissed her softly. But his internal antenna caught on to the gun she had by her knee. "Why are you taking the gun? We're going on a date."

"I'm just making sure we're prepared." Rosemary reassured.

"We're supposed to have a fun time. I don't want you to be paranoid."
