Frankie pounded on the dorm room door repeatedly, trying to find Wilbur. He'd been gone for two months and she was getting increasingly worried and fearful for his safety.
The door then swung open with Frankie earning the tired, stressful look of Ethan. "What? What? What is it?" Ethan asked with an attitude, scratching his head as he was woken up from his sleep.
"Where's Wilbur? Is he okay? I just...really need to know." Frankie said with desperation in her voice. She was really on edge about Wilbur.
"Ugh look, I can assure you...wherever Wilbur is at, he'll return soon. I've been trying to contact him for so long." Ethan replied, rubbing his face softly.
"He has a lair, right? Please take me there. I have to know where he went. I just have to..." Frankie pleaded, getting a little tearful as she did her best to hold back her tears.
Ethan sighed, rubbing his shoulder nervously. His hands were tied here. He didn't want to give Frankie's hopes up but at the same time, he couldn't jeopardize the location of the secret lair. It was called secret for a reason.
But it looked like he would have to.
"Fine. I'll take you there."
The two later walked all the way over to the hideout, which was underneath the abandoned bowling alley across town. Ethan tried to open the front door, seeing that it was locked.
Frankie was skeptical. "Look Ethan, if you're trying to make me feel better, just stop."
"The lair is right inside this place. I'm telling you." Ethan urged as he tried to pry the doors open to no avail. "I'm telling you...Wilbur brought me here two times. This is his main hangout."
Frankie blinked softly as she couldn't believe this. Ethan sighed softly. He really thought that Wilbur would be here.
But then, up above, they felt the wind pick up heavily as whirring could be heard from above. They looked up to see the Larva Ship landing in front of him on the parking lot. The doors slowly opened as Frankie and Ethan squinted their eyes at the bright light inside.
Wilbur walked out of the ship, sliding off his mask as he and Frankie met each other's gaze. Frankie smiled widely, running into his arms as he hugged him tightly. "Wilbur, you're back!" Frankie yelled, holding onto him closely before seeing Russell and Rosemary behind him. "Oh....I see you brought your parents along too."
Wilbur chuckled softly. "This is...my mom. And the guy who helps me out."
"Oh, so that's all I am to you?" Russell said jokingly as he patted him on the shoulder softly. "It's nice to meet you." Rosemary added with a grin.
"I'm Francine but...people call me Frankie." She introduced herself shyly.
Rosemary crossed her arms and turns her attention to her. "How long...have you known that Wilbur was-"
"She's known for quite some time." Wilbur interrupted. "But I can trust her with my secret."
"Let's hope so..." Rosemary furrowed her eyebrows at her softly. She was happy that her son found a nice girl, but at the same time, she was irritated that Wilbur would blab out his secret identity to a girl he probably knew for a few months. Still, she wasn't going to dreat on it for the sake of having her son back.
Wilbur just hoped she doesn't know what they did after she discovered his identity.
"You guys get back to the campus. I...need to get my head straight." Wilbur rubbed his shoulder nervously. He just knew that he was behind on classes and schoolwork. But that was the least of his problems right now.
