Rosemary paced herself back and forth in her office. She waited for her detectives to come back with any evidence on Wilbur's behalf. Her attention soon turned to a nearby picture of Wilbur when he was 10. That was the last time he was ever innocent.

Ever since James's passing, all Wilbur wanted to do was to help people. And Rosemary encouraged that. She didn't see it as a big deal.

But when she found out Wilbur was Red Dragonfly, she was shocked but not surprised. It scared her, but it also kinda made sense that her son risked his life everyday to save lives. To help people. To protect his community.

It was the reason why she helped him out with Russell in the first place. Where did it all go wrong? She wondered.

"Captain." Detective Vaughn knocked on the door, snapping Rosemary out of her thoughts. Rosemary's eyes furrowed softly, turning to the detective. "Please tell me you've found my son. For the love of God, tell me you least have evidence."

Vaughn sighed, rubbing his shoulder softly as he could barely let the sentence come out of his mouth. "We've had search parties all over the city, Captain. We checked everywhere for your son but...we couldn't find any proper trace of him. It's like he just...vanished."

"Don't say that!" Rosemary raised her voice. "Of all the supervillains you came across, you can't find one missing boy?!" She soon broke down crying, laying her head on the desk as Vaughn slowly eased his way out of office.

Just as Russell was about to enter inside to comfort her, Vaughn stopped him by the doorway. "It's okay. I'm...someone she cares about." Russell said.

"She's going through a lot right now. I think she needs some time alone." Vaughn said as he shut the door to the office. Russell peeked inside to see Rosemary sobbing softly. Russell just knew that he had to do something. Wherever Wilbur was, he was gonna bring him back home. No matter what he had to do.

Russell marched into his lair, shoving everything he had out of the way for his helmet. He poured out every box as all the junk he had spill over the floor. He soon stumbled upon the spandex suit he had folded up. He held it up in the air with a grin. "It's been so long..." Russell said to himself. "I wonder if I can still fit it."

His eyes veered over to the helmet sitting on the table. Somehow after all these years, it still gleamed in the light it sat by. He walked over and picked it up. He slowly slid it atop his head and got dressed in his green suit. It was a bit tight around his gut but it fit nonetheless. He turned on his computer and searched up any heroes in the Rescue Alliance willing to help him.

FORTRESS OF INDEPENDENCE

Russell walked up the pearly steps, gazing at the 60 foot statues above him before walking towards the entrance. He knocked at the door and crossed his arms nonchalantly. Security cameras darted their attention towards him as the doors slowly opened.

"Hey Sargent Justice! Bring your arrogant ass out here!" Russell yelled out as he slid his helmet off. He wandered around for a bit before bumping into Everseeker hovering over headquarters. "He left an hour ago to save a scout troop from an active volcano." She explained, her expression was to be a little annoyed to see him. "And for the record, he changed the name to Justice For All to be more inclusive to other cultures. Where have you been for the past few years?"

"Look, this isn't a courtesy call, alright?" Russell replied, just as annoyed as her. "A kid...that I really care about has gone missing. I need your help."
