Loud knocks came from the front of Angela's office. It managed to snap Angela out of her concentration as she was deep in thought by her desk.
Wilbur shoved the doors down, almost breaking them off the hinges as he walked into her office. "What's your angle, Angela?" Wilbur asked as he leaned towards her desk in her face. "Why are your agents watching everything I do?"
"Calm down-"
"I want answers, damn it! I'm through playing around with you!" Wilbur interrupted as he hit his fist on the desk, putting a dent in it.
Angela let a exasperated sigh as she rolled her eyes. "You interest me, Wilbur. You were once a ordinary black boy who had his father took away from him. And now, look at you. An icon. A symbol. I wanted to take advantage of those skills you have."
"You just love hearing yourself talk, don't you?" Wilbur said.
"We both know that if it wasn't for Russell being in your ear, you could potentially protect more people across the world. With government backing, of course."
Wilbur pauses for a moment as he thought out what she just said. He then realized that Blue Dasher brung her up during their fight in the house.
"You're thinking it out, are you? Having second thoughts about taking down crooks in masks?" Angela smirked.
"No. I just know that you had something to do with that lunatic attacking my mom's house."
Angela leaned back in her chair with that same condescending smirk never leaving her face. "It's not like I did it on purpose. He was just a pawn in a much bigger plan I cooked up."
She pressed a button on her desk, showing a hologram of dead soldiers from the military being mutated into dragonfly drones. "It's all thanks to this." Angela then held up a vial of Wilbur's DNA. "I made a dozen of those things with one...little...drop."
Wilbur remembered when she poked him with her ring. She managed to collect his DNA that way. "You made these drones out of me?!"
"Trust me. It's all for the good of America. We have the one thing that the terrorists don't. A colony."
"I don't know what this is, but just know that I'm going to stop it." Wilbur clenched his fists. "Whatever partnership we had is over."
As Wilbur was about to walk out, he heard a high pitched noise in his ears that made him scream in agony. It was like the sound was coming from inside his head. He dropped to his knees as the noise just wouldn't stop and it was effecting his internal antennas.
Angela walked over and kicked him in the ribs with her high heels. Wilbur fell down, curling up in pain as the noise was nonstop. Until Angela raised her finger off the button it was pressed on. Wilbur took his hands off his ears as blood dripped out of them. Angela narrowed her eyes at the boy below her and presented the device she was holding.
"You may not be able to hear me right now....but this is a sonic sound disruptor. Standard torture tool." Angela explained. "Only two of them were made throughout the whole entire world. One of them is owned by Donald Baragan, the warden of Hellcage. The other is owned by me. One single push of this button and your ear canals are finished."
"What...are you....getting at?" Wilbur quivered in pain, only being able to hear her a tiny bit.
"You're gonna be my lab rat for the next few months." Angela replied. "I don't know how you're storing that power of yours inside you, but if I have to beat it out of you, I will." Angela got her agents to grab him and drag him to the lab in the basement. Wilbur tried his fight his way out of their grasp but one of them ended up knocking him out with the butt of their gun.
