chapter four :'D

They talked for a bit longer, then felt like it was time to go back. It was getting pretty late. Kokichi put the rest of the snacks in the bag, while Kaito chugged the rest of his drink. Kokichi quickly finished his as they walked to a recycle bin to throw out kaitos drink, tossing in his shortly after.
"Are we gonna get their slurpees?" Kokichi asked, handing the bag of snacks to Kaito. Kaito nodded, sighing a bit.
"I wouldn't want them to be mad at us." He said, with a bit of a small smile. Kokichi shrugged,
"I mean, what did they do for you? You don't really have to..." Kokichi said, putting his hands in Kaito's jacket pockets.
"No.. but they asked! It wouldn't sit right with me..." He said, handing kokichi the bag with their snacks in it. Kokichi laughed a bit,
"Wow, such a goody-two-shoes," He said, using a snappier tone.
"It'll only take a sec! Just hold on.." Kaito spat out, running over back to the store. Kokichi rolled his eyes, crossing his small arms while he held the leftover snacks. He put on a big smile and he felt his cheeks heat up. Kaito was so nice, and for what? Kokichi was gushing over Kaito's good qualities. Soon enough, Kokichi saw Kaito walk out waving goodbye to the cashier, carrying the two drinks..
"Hey! I got them!" He said, keeping a big smile. Kokichi noticed it only had one straw in each of them, but he didn't say anything. Why should he? Kokichi kept the bag while Kaito held the drinks, and with that they started to walk back to the hotel.
"So.. can I still stay in your room tonight?" Kaito said, looking down at Kokichi. Kokichi nodded, getting a bit excited.
"Yeah sure, but why would you want too?" Kokichi asked, raising an eyebrow. 

"Well, Korekiyo was talking about how he didn't want me as a roommate and I felt kinda bad... so maybe I thought Rantaro and him could share the room together!" Kaito explained, making motions with his hands. Kokichi kept a slow nod going, remembering Rantaro's comment earlier.

 "Yeah, I think they'd like that." Kokichi replied, smiling a bit. He was freaking out. A room alone with Kaito? Perfect! As creepy as Kokichi thought it was, he thought about seeing Kaito waking up, with bed head and a low raspy voice. He was excited. They made it back to the room, and knocked. Immediately, a frowning Rantaro answered and stared at the two.

"As much as I hate waiting, I'm still glad you guys aren't dead or kidnapped." Rantaro said, holding out his hands. Kokichi gave him the bag of snacks, giving them the leftovers because he thought it would be nice. Kaito handed him the slrupees. Rantaro groaned,
"You guys didn't even get it right! We asked for two straws! Idiots..." he rambled, taking a quick sip.
"Okay, I guess it's time to say goodbye." Rantaro said, sighing a bit.
"Actually... you can stay in this room tonight, I'll sleep with Kokichi." Kaito said, keeping a smile. Kokichi looked down, hiding the blush from the others. Rantaro smiled,
"Okay thank you guys! Bye! Don't bother us anymore tonight!" He spat out quickly before closing the door in their faces. Kokichi sighed, then they started to walk to Kokichis room. Kaito was complaining about the two, talking about how they should be nicer to them for at least getting the slurpees. They reached the door and Kokichi put his hand in his pocket, going to grab his door key. He froze in his spot, and checked all of his pockets. Kaito raised an eyebrow,
"Is everything okay?" He asked, moving a bit closer. Kokichi flinched, but then turned around.
"You're a dummy! You forgot to remind me about my key earlier and now we're locked out." He spat out, crossing his arms. They both already knew going back and asking Rantaro was out of the question. Kaito laughed a bit.
"It's not my responsibility!" He said, "and is that it? It's okay dude! I can just text maki and ask if she'll let us in her room." Kaito explained, pulling out his phone. Kokichi frowned, but nodded.
"well- wouldn't we be bothering her?" Kokichi said quietly, trying to come up with any excuse. 

"Wouldn't we get in trouble for sharing a room with girls anyway?" He added, shaking his head. God, Kaito can't be that dumb- take a hint! Kaito looked up, and bit his lip.
"Uhm... well Maki and I have been sharing rooms forever, it shouldn't be a problem really!" He said, and Kokichi wanted to facepalm. Okay maybe Kaito was stupid.
