"Hello? Mackenzie? Is that you?" Mom answered.
"Yes, Mom, it is," I replied.
"Oh, thank goodness, we've been so worried. Where are you and when are you coming home?"
"Uh, Mom, I'm not coming home permanently. I'll only be stopping by to clean out my room and bring my things up here to Princeton with me."
"Princeton? What are you doing there?"
"Mom? Livvie called me. She's in the hospital dying after giving birth to her daughter who she wants me to raise here in Princeton."
"Livvie? She's dying? We're coming up right away!"
"No, Mom! She doesn't want it. She said she doesn't have much time left and she doesn't want anyone to remember her the way she is now."
"Well, you have to bring our granddaughter to see us. I want to meet her."
"Well, next week, if I remember right, you'll be traveling again and I'll be stopping by then to get my stuff." Having said this, I hung up.

So, after I got my stuff from my parent's home, I decided to get a job that I could do out of the apartment while doing some schooling online to become a nurse and so I could raise Camryn without having to put her in daycare. I only paid for one additional month beyond what Livvie had already paid for. Dani stopped in often to see how Cami was doing and to help me with whatever I needed doing. We also set up movie nights every other weekend so I could do something other then talk baby talk with Cami everyday.

So, 6 months later, a couple days after Cami's first birthday on July 15th, I was in the kitchen with Cami in her bouncer seat on the counter making dinner and talking to her when the phone rang.
"Who could that be calling, my little birthday girl?" I said as I fumbled for the phone.
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Mackenzie, I know it's been a while since we talked. But you remember the last time we talked, I finally told you I was dating someone?"
"Yeah, Dani, what is this about?" I was confused.
"Well, I just got engaged," She was ecstatic.

"Dani, that's great news, who're you engaged to?"
"I'd never heard of them before, my little sis had. Have you heard of the Jonas Brothers?"
"The Jonas.... Dani, what are you trying to tell me?"
