Sanayah's POV.
day two - mysterious beauty
My eyes fluttered open, and I immediately felt the sun shining brightly on my face. I groaned and rolled over to my side, facing the window. I got up from my bed, tripping over my own feet while rubbing my eyes. I waddled over to the curtains and opened them fully, which makes me squint my eyes from the even brighter light shining through now. Don't get me wrong, I love the sun, but moments like these, make me hate it.
I make my way over to my bathroom and get ready.
I step out of the shower, feeling fresh as ever, and look at myself in the mirror. I notice the pimple that was poking out of my forehead, nagging me, is gone and I thank the gods. I don't struggle with acne or anything but sometimes, I get random tiny pimples on my face which is normal.
As I put on my outfit, memories flood back into my brain of Jayden yesterday. I remember how he gave me a surprisingly good orgasm but then left suddenly afterward. I immediately got irritated thinking about it. My irritation soon grows into sadness. Jayden and I used to be so close...what changed? My thoughts drift to Brady and all of those guys. It must be them. I mean, it's no surprise that they're assholes, but I never thought Jayden would ever become one of them. I'm still not completely convinced, but we'll see I guess. I shake my head and stop thinking about him.
I pull out my makeup and begin applying it onto my face. I only apply a little bit, not too much. I'm not a huge fan of putting on a lot. It makes my face feel really cakey and gross. I envy girls who are able to handle a lot of makeup though, I wish I could.
After I'm completely ready, I get out of my bathroom and make my way towards my bedroom door. I grab my backpack which is hanging on a hook attached to my door, and swing it over my shoulder. I open my door but then gasp and then jump back.
My dad stood there, eyes wide, holding a cup of orange juice.
"Woah, calm down! It's just your old man." He chuckled.
I giggled and then took the orange juice out of his hand. "You scared me!" I hug him. It's been a little while since I've seen my dad. He's always out on meetings and business trips, so we barely get to hang out. He has them at least three times a week, it's so hard. I'm not mad about it anymore though, I understand that it's for paying the bills.
We pull out of our hug and he smiles down at me. "Come on, kid. I'll give you a lift to school."

I was in the cafeteria now, waiting for my boyfriend and my two best friends. Nila texted me a few minutes ago telling me she's almost here and as for Amelie, I don't know. I texted her a while ago too but she never responded to me. Me, Amelie, and Nila always sit in the table that's near the corner of the cafeteria, just because it's more peaceful. I scroll through my Instagram feed to pass time, but the movement of my right thumb comes to a stop as I feel someone's hand on my shoulder.
"Hey!" Nila greets me as she sits next to the chair right next to me. I smile at her and give her a 'hey' while putting my phone away in my backpack. "Amelie isn't here yet?" she asks, concern lacing her words.
I shake my head. "Nope," I tell her. "I texted her a while ago, but she hasn't even read my messages yet. I don't know where she is." I pull out my phone once again just to check if she responded back.
"Huh. That's weird. She's always here before me" Nila says. "Anyways, isn't Jayden joining us today?" She asks me, raising her eyebrows.
