Two Weeks Later
Two weeks have officially passed; Neal's over the horrible event by keeping his mind occupied, talking with Finn about his emotions, his sessions with Rex have helped. Neal thankfully pushed the memory away, he knew he wasn't hurt nor was it anyway he or Finn's fault. Neal was incredibly strong enough finishing school in person. He became a celebrity, apparently news broke out Neal stopped a creep and got the guy arrested. Deep within Neal's heart, he's glad he found out Mr. Jones was a monster. He can't imagine how many other kids the guy could have possibly hurt if Neal hadn't done something. Finn hasn't taken the situation lightly: the giant grew overprotective and much more annoying. The biggest brothers not worried about Neal getting hurt-he's worries about Neal growing up so fast. Months ago, Neal wouldn't have been able to save himself or overcome such scary moments. The boys even been doing great with his PTSD, no recent nightmares, no emotional outbursts, and Finn knows Neal not keeping anything a secret. Neal and Rex has a session last week after Neal's school attack, Rex was super proud Neal's opening up about his feelings. Finn's amazed by Neal's growth, and there's one thing that's bothering the giant. When Neal calls him dad, don't get the big guy wrong, his thrilled Neal called him dad. It's funny in Finn's eyes, Neal doesn't mind talking about the attack or PTSD, but discussing calling Finn 'dad' isn't a option of discussion. Today's their first day of winter break; the duo unfortunately are snowed in and can't leave home. Finn's currently bored watching tv, Neal's inside his own room reading a book. Finn stretchers his long legs along the couch, he wears a green sweatshirt and candy cane themed pajamas. Finn looks at their big Christmas tree decorated every inch: many ornaments, colored lights and a star on the top. Finn watches the tv flipping through several channels. He gets bored and decided seeing what's Neal doing. Finn rolls off the couch, he takes few larger steps and bends on his knees opening the kids bedroom roof. Neal's laying in bed reading a book, Macbeth's peacefully sleeping against Neal's side. "Psst...squirt! What ya doing?" Finn asked bring his head closer. "Reading Finn, go away." Neal said.
"I'm lonely Neal!"
"Not my issue Finn!"
"Wanna watch a movie?"
"Nope."
"Make cookies?"
"Gosh no."
"Play a board game?"
"Those are boring."
"Talk about our feelings?"
"Leave me alone!"
"I think we should talk about two weeks ago."
"Ugh Finn, I'm over Mr. Jones attacking me. Yes, that creep almost hurt me but he didn't! I try pushing pass the event, but you keep bringing the memory up!"
"I know Neal, I mean the other thing. When I got called dad."
"We're done talking." Neal closed his book making run to his private bathroom, the single area Finn could not grab him. "WAIT!" Finn tried grabbing Neal, but his brother shut the bathroom quickly. "Neal..." Finn pleaded. "Leave me alone!" Neal's voice shouted. Typical teenager behavior, avoiding conversation and spending time with family. Finn sighs defeated, he misses the day where Neal needed him twenty four-seven. Now, the kids getting older and becoming a full blown teen. He fears Neal's slipping away, a fear he's tried ignoring. Sure they went shopping together, ate lunch, live together; Finn needed to force Neal into spending time with him. The giant grew a great idea...

"Finn's annoying! 'When I got called dad! Blah-Blah-Blah! I'm bored, spend time with me Neal, let's talk about feelings and crap!' GRR! Should never called him dad, right Macbeth? He's trying so hard getting bonding time, Finn's forgets I enjoy private time." Neal pets his cats head, he sits on the bathroom floor learning against the closed door. "I love the large goof, but I can't spend every second by his side! I recall when we first met, Finn never let me out of his sights unless we were at school! Me and him weren't separated unless necessary. Yet, I'm 13, not a tiny, pathetic human boy desiring protection! Can't believe I'm discussing life issues with my cat! Sorry Macbeth, you rather hear about anything than about my problems." Neal petted below the cats chin. "At least I'm home, spending two nice weeks at home reading and watching movies! Hopefully Finn's gives me some alone time, hate when he won't leave me alone!" He whined, when Finn didn't make any noise Neal assumes it's safe returning to his bedroom. He slightly opens the door peeking at the shut roof, Neal decided to watch a movie. The kid picks Beauty and The Beast, the smallest brother's favorite, and plops the disk inside the DVD player. "Wish Finn wasn't out there; would love a snack." Neal sighed, the risk of Finn trying starting a conversation about feelings isn't worth getting a snack. He leaps under the beds covers and wraps himself with two blankets blocking out the cold. Macbeth joins the boy by jumping on the beds end. Neal presses the play button; he gets cozy and prepared to enjoy a few hours watching a movie and relaxing. The chances getting some privacy time are usually low, he tries enjoying the moments when Finn's not hogging the kids attention. Neal knows he can't avoid the giant forever, their home for two weeks and eventually they'll discuss Finn getting called dad. When discussing the topic with his therapist, Neal's not certain why he keeps mentioning Finn as his father. Yes the duo grew closer, and the older brother's a great role model, but Neal never expected he would see Finn as a dad. However, the giant has shown great parental behavior and adopted Neal when the kid needed someone to rescue the boy and give a better home life. He tries shaking the thoughts off and returns focus to the movie. The movie continues playing and Neal starts enjoying some peace.

Finn Knight, loving big brother, gym teacher, boyfriend, and the nicest guy alive, considered himself a genius as he created the best plan: a one week road trip to the nearest, and best winter carnival. The MapleWood Winter Carnival. He and his parents attended the festival every single year until mother got ill; when she died, the tradition disappeared. A great annual celebration Finn loved and want Neal to love equally. They'll leave Monday; travel between Monday through Wednesday, and arrive Thursday morning at their hotel and spend two days at the celebration and return home. The big guy loves road trips, more excited he and the kid are gonna have one and spend more time together. Spending pass a hour planning, Finn managed booking a hotel room near the festival; telling Neal's the hardest part. Finn sneaks to the human bedroom, he can hear Disney music blasting. A small smile creeps across Finn's face, he opened the roof eying Neal in bed watching tv and a sleeping Macbeth at his side. "Hey Neal, turn the tv off please." Finn requested. "Why? I'm watching TV." Neal rudely snarked. "One..." Finn started. "Two..." Neal remained motionless, "Three!" The giant grabbed Neal placing him on his palm. "HEY!" Neal shouted. "Drop the attitude little man." Finn said standing back up. "Ugh, I wanna have some privacy! Let me go!" He demanded. "Not happening, please stop throwing a fit and listen dude." The giant sat down at the couch. "Recently, we haven't been spending much time together and teenagers oddly hate family time. Neal, your getting older and I hate to us drift apart! Evidences showing we're spending less and less time together; that's why I have a surprise!" Neal wasn't liking where the conversations heading. "What surprise?" He raised a eyebrow. "Starting Monday morning, together were starting a road trip to the MapleWood Winter Carnival! We'll leave early Monday, travel the roads until we'll arrive at a hotel late Tuesday night. Wednesday we'll leave than arrive at our actual hotel Thursday morning then attend the festival that day through Saturday and journey back home! Aren't you excited?!" Finn smiled hugely hardly noticing Neal's scowling glare. "No." Finn frowned hearing his brothers answer. "Why? Because spending time with me isn't considered fun?" Finn asked. "No, the trips taking half of my winter break! Why would anyone travel to a lame festival and spend endless hours driving? Thanks about the offer, but I'm not going." Neal huffed crossing his arms. "The trips not a offer, it's a order! We're gonna have the best time." The big brother claimed. "Wow, stuck inside a car for hours while my big brother tries making quality bonding time when we should stay home , and try enjoying our break off! God, did you believe I would like the dumb idea? Have fun Finn, you can't make me go anywhere." Finn wrapped his fingers around Neal tightly and held him at eye level. "Yes I can! We'll have fun, freaking bond, and enjoying spending time as a family!" Neal's brother growled. "FINE! Hope your proud my vacation plans are ruined!" Neal scoffed. "What vacations plans?! Staying indoors playing video games, watching television? Our road-trips the best idea ever! Start making a packing list and makes everything's ready for Monday!" Finn let Neal off by his tiny bedroom. "And try—" Finn's cut off as Neal slams his bedroom door shut. He sighs, Neal's not thrilled about the trip, but Finn knows this is the best way they can have bonding time.
