Ever since his last therapy visit, Finn's noticed Neal's feeling down. His brother hardly says more than two words during dinner and retreats back to his room. Finn honestly feel completely lost, he finally leaned Neal's possibly suffer from PTSD and the kid hardly handles the news super well. They've talked much about how Finn doesn't see Neal any different, but Neal struggles getting over his fear of being seen as a freak. Finn decided he should try helping his young brother happiness, and he has the greatest idea ever. Months ago, Neal begged getting his own cat. The timing wasn't right as the two were looking for a apartment and planned on moving out of their grandparents house. Now, it seems perfect timing, and Finn honestly can't wait. He dragged Neal out of bed during early morning hour, the giants wanted to be first at the pet store. Neal has zero idea why Finn's waking him up early nor the happy smile the giant can't hide properly. "Finn, where we heading?" Neal yawns from the human passenger seat. "You'll see." Finn's grin grows bigger. "Not another zoo trip?" Neal asked. "Nope, even better." He said.
"Seeing a movie?"
"Nope"
"Mall trip ?"
"Wrong again."
"Book store?"
"You'll never guess correct!"
"What's the big surprise?!"
"Not saying."
Neal surrendered, Finn's supposes always range between amazing and lame. "Finn, will I actually enjoy the surprise?" Neal asked. "Maybe..." His brother giggles. "Okay, keep your eyes shut!" Finn demands pulling the over, Neal obeys praying whatever Finn's plan is will be interesting. "What's that smell? Finn, we talked about washing your hands after eating bacon and eggs! Very hard getting that smell off my clothes."Neal sat on Finn's open palm, he's lifted up feeling the cold morning air once Finn opens the car door. "Speaking of breakfast, thanks for eating the food before me!" Neal complained. "I got hungry! I save you some!" Finn breathed directly at Neal, the kid immediately started coughing. "Ugh! Breathe mints Finn:try using some!" Neal coughed. "Whatever, keep your eyes closed!" Finn noticed Neal taking a peak. The stores right down the sidewalk, Finn's walks down the stress and walks into a square shape building. The inside's small, on the right is a desk, the rest of the room has long tables with clear glass boxes holding animals within them; mostly which are cats and dogs. Neal hears variety animal noises, he snapped his eyes open. "Thought we would finally get a cat you've kept begging about! Surprise!" Neal wasn't expecting such fun news, he's been asking for months about getting cat and Finn finally cracked. He's never owned cats, heard their great animals and less messy than dogs. Plus he won't constantly be forced to take the cat out to use the restroom. "Okay go ahead and pick any cat." Finn dropped Neal off on one of the tables with cats. Animals are normal sized, dogs are the one single breed matching giant sized. Neal's happy cats aren't giant, having big cats would result in humans getting slaughtered or worst eaten. He's greeted by dozens of kitten and adult cats purring and rubbing against the glass wall. There's so many: black cats, black cats and green eyes, black and white, whites and blue eyes, calico, and grey. Impossible finding the correct one, he wishes Finn would allow to bring each cat home. Neal struggles between getting a kitten or a older cat, having kitten means they'll stay around longer and more playful. However, getting an adult could end with the creature dying earlier and more health issues. But these poor older animals have probably stayed stuck inside the glass box for long periods of time. Suddenly a older calico cat, three or five years old, caught Neal's eyes. This cat didn't interact with the others, stayed alone and sat in the opposite corner. Something about that particular animal made Neal want him, "Him! That's the one!" Neal announced pressing his face against the glass. "Which one Neal?" Finn asked. "Him, sitting at the corner by himself." Neal said. "Oh, I wouldn't pick him kid. He's been returned eight times, not really friendly." The store owners said coming their way, he's a older man with a huge beard. "He looks friendly, alone maybe, but friendly." Neal told the man. "Believe me, if he were friendly, no family would return the damn cat. He's infamous scratching people, hissing, biting, and fighting other animals. Should definitely pick any other cat, they deserve good homes."He informed the two brothers. Neal wasn't convinced and instead he left with the animal he originally picks. "He's right Neal, pick someone else. How about the black and white one?" Finn said. "NO! Him, I want him Finn!" The older brother sighed, he knew Neal wasn't gonna quit. "Okay, but if he acts up, we'll bring him straight back. Understand?" Neal nodded, soon the store keeper rushed the cat inside a small cage. The cat hissed whenever being touched or even looked at. "Good luck fun taking care of him, recommended getting a shock collar." Finn handed Neal the cage, inside his new cat stayed in the back ears back and growling. After getting back to the car, Finn drove off keeping a eye over at Neal talking to his little friend. "What will you name him?" Finn asked. "Macbeth." Neal suddenly said. "Macbeth?" Finn hardly had any clue Neal knew about the character. "Yeah, my dad loved Shakespeare and Macbeth was his favorite." Neal said. "Interesting...Neal don't stick your hand inside!" Finn warned, Neal frowned pulling his hand back from the cage; Macbeth hissed and growled. "Why?! He won't hurt me!" Neal said. "He's growling, probably anxious and stressed. Don't agitate him." Finn doesn't want to deal with Neal getting upset about getting hurt and having to Macbeth. They returned home shortly; Finn sat Neal on the apartment room floor. "I'm gonna show him my room!" Neal excitedly ran off, Finn fell onto the couch letting his longs legs stretch. "Should have bought him a dog; dogs are better and friendly. "OW! FINN!" Neal screamed, "God, what now?" Finn mumbled under his breathe. "FINN! IT HURTS!" The big brother was halfway to Neal's bedroom when the kid burst out holding his right hand which had three long scratch marks and blood oozing out. "What happened?! Damn cat scratched you didn't he?" Finn bent down getting a better look at Neal's scratch. "No...yes but he didn't mean to! I opens the cage and stuck my hand inside and he attacked me than ran beneath the bed!" Neal cried. "Let's take care of your scratch." Finn cares Neal to the bathroom, he cleans the wound while Neal yells in pain. "Hush bro." Finn said turning the sink back off, he slaps a tiny bandage on Neal's hand. "Okay, the cats going." Finn said after letting Neal onto the floor and marching to Neal's bedroom. "WAIT! PLEASE LET MACBETH STAY!" Neal grabbed Finn's pant leg. "No way! Macbeth's going back, no more discussion!" Finn sternly stated. "Quit moving!" Neal yelled. "If you take him back I'll never talk to you!" He threatened. "Yeah sure." Finn rolled his eyes. "Giving up on him is like giving up on me! He's lonely, scared, needed a friend! Just like me when we first met!" Finn stopped moving. "Not the same case, he's a animal." Finn looked down at him. "Many giants see humans as animals! You wanna give up on him, fine. Me however, won't." Neal said. "Jesus...stupid...AHHH! FINE!" Finn, frustrated, yelled. "THANK YOU!" Neal shouted happily. "God, I need a vacation." Finn groaned.
